Long weekend in Istanbul at end of May - Turkey on Govt Red List

We're getting more tickets than we got at Brighton and a lot less people will be able to go.

The cost is one thing, but that 10 day quarantine will be prohibitive for so many. Case numbers are falling but difficult to predict if it will be quick enough.

You will definitely get tickets in my opinion.
Demand will be higher from all our partners and players friends and family, I'm pretty sure it will be open season for them and they will get the majority along with share holders too.

just been trying to price it up only to realise that I didn’t renew my passport last year... kinell man

Based on the low uptake for the Carabao Cup Final and the majority of City's fans surprisingly unwilling to go through the Covid hoops for a first match in a year and a final at Wembley, I expect the loyalty points to go quite low, even to anyone on the Champions League Direct Debit scheme.

To that end I've bought 3 flights to Istanbul, even though my youngest son only has 14,800 points This would easily have got him one of the 2,000 Wembley tickets if he'd been old enough.

Just in case people are not aware flights into Istanbul from Manchester use two different airports. Turkish Airlines use the new main airport (Airport code : IST) which is on the European side, about 30 mins to central Istanbul. Pegasus, who also operate from MAN, fly into Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport (Airport code: SAW) which is located on the Asian side and is about an hour by taxi to central Istanbul.
The stadium is on the European side.
Just to add to this, people might recognise that ISL (Istanbul Ataturk Airport) is an airport east of Instanbul which is fairly close to Istanbul. However, this is just a cargo airport now and closed to commercial passenger flights in 2019. So if your confused as to why this airport isn’t showing as an option when you’re booking, then there’s your answer. It’s basically IST or SAW you want, but SAW looks to be a bit more out in the Sticks. Hope this helps.

I don't see it being higher than Brighton. Whether they get more proportionately is a different argument, but neither of us will be privy to that. Some of our partners are also UEFA partners too so might not need to take many of ours.

But ultimately they'll still be affected by the restrictions in the same way we might be.

I think more people will be up for this one despite the fact that it'll cost more than Wembley did. As arrogant as it sounds, Wembley finals are hardly a novelty for City fans these days but a CL final most definitely is, plus we're further out of lockdown now and many more people want to get out and about. On the flip side, I think a lot will depend on what quarantine rules are in place though. 10 days and I'm out. 5 days and I'm probably out. Neg test and zero days and I could well be in

Will jump through any hoops they put in place like i did for wembley but cant quarantine when we get back so chances of going very slim at the moment.

You make a good point. The likes of, say, Nexen would want their share of tickets under normal circumstances but are they going to take so many when a lot of people connected with them don't support City and would need to isolate to wherever they return?

The other thing with criteria is that we don't know how many people were on the CL scheme in 19/20. Points are only useful if people signed up. I heard rumours that CL scheme members don't number 10,000, in which case I reckon anyone on it should be ok.

I'm not sensing a stampede from our fans. Completely understandable given the current climate.
