Klopp knew they needed to strengthen, but FSG said no. Says it all really. The scousers need to get used to being nearly men. Just enough spend to challenge for top 4, but no more.
Always the bridesmaid, never the bride.
Always the best man, never the groom.
Always the corpse, never the undertaker!

I can't wait for the fans to be allowed back in their stadium just to see the flags they will have on the kop

In all seriousness, what would it take to turn things around for Liverpool? I'm not willing it but there's got to be a discussion somewhere right? Is there any room for reinvigoration or are they done? Is it Klopp that's worn them out or have FSG left them hanging?

I just find it odd. At the end of 2020 I saw world teams of the year to suggest that Liverpool had the best GK, LB, RB, CB, CM, and RW in the world. Yeah they've been done in by injuries, but they had a big lead at one point and now they're competing with West Ham.

When we were bad last season we still won a trophy, comfortably finished 2nd with 81 points (a respectable tally for a runner up), made a cup semi final and a CL quarter final too, all whilst scoring a ton of goals and still producing many games of great football in the process. Meanwhile Liverpool are turning to dust.

What's up?

ps I refuse to subscribe to the idea that no fans being allowed in has magically hindered them more than most.

Seems to be a lot on there who are suddenly forensic accountants who know intimate details of sponsorship and players contracts, for a city built on the slave trade they have a sudden interest in human rights and it seems we’ve be renamed Abu Dhabi FC
That’s why I refer to them as "Littlewoods".

You just don't get the 'istree or the pashun.

It’s so heart-warming to know just how reviled that club really is.
Two separate people this morning said to me how great City were last night. One was a Charlton supporter, the other was an Arsenal fan. The pair of them waxing lyrical about Pep, Kev, the style of football etc, but both to a man saying how much they absolutely loathe the dippers. Their hatred of the fans, the owners, Klopp (and in particular his mind-boggling hypocrisy) was almost on a par with my own.

I felt so smug and self-satisfied, hearing a couple of football fans not only praising us but also tearing into the dippers, that I actually smiled at a car park attendant who was giving out tickets to some poor unfortunate souls.

What an embarrassment spitty was last night. I let out a little "get in" or a chuckle when I see united or Liverpool losing, that's natural. if it had positive implications for us, I'd let out a bigger cheer but I've never reacted like that to a rival conceding in a game that has no bearing on his own team whatsoever. And they say they don't care... For a team and a fanbase that are so insistent of our irrelevance as a club they don't half have a lot emotions and a lot to say about us.

There's nobody quite like a bitter Liverpool fan. Long may the bitterness continue I say, its like nectar to me.

Really wish somebody, preferably Micah but Gary Neville will do, would bring up his phlegm throwing incident live on air in retort to one of his dogshit 14 year old on twitter "banter"

His reaction to Micah's celebration at City's winner was a sight to behold, not best pleased at all.
