Horses for courses.says a lot Pep hasn't picked him in the last couple of big games.
Hardly a slight on the kid....who could he possibly omit of the forwards last night?says a lot Pep hasn't picked him in the last couple of big games.
Huge heart and a work ethic that should be better appreciated; his closing down of defenders and shutting down of angles is highly effective but that work always go unnoticed. He’s not a thirty-goal-a-season striker and Guardiola will sacrifice him when he needs that extra midfielder to condense the game, but I hope he stays for many more seasons. And won us the league at Southampton.
He isnt a traditional striker,he runs defences ragged with his movement and tenacity, and weighs in with important goals.....i'm not sure why folk are finding that hard to understand.
His offsides are frustrating,as are the occasional lack of end product, but he's a player of substance,he makes an impact when he plays - he should not be receiving the amount of criticism some are intent on ensuring.
Can he not do both? Score goals and all that stuff that you mention. I feel like pep doesn't like his lack of goals either as he always used to mention it and now hes not playing in the big games .Huge heart and a work ethic that should be better appreciated; his closing down of defenders and shutting down of angles is highly effective but that work always go unnoticed. so much for the new Ronaldo.Hardly a slight on the kid....who could he possibly omit of the forwards last night?
That didn't answer my question......and who labelled him that?so much for the new Ronaldo.
If I remember correctly, the first one to liken Jesus to Ronaldo was... Ronaldo himself :DThat didn't answer my question......and who labelled him that?
With the way we are currently set up, I‘m not sure anyone could score 30 goals a season. He performed admirably as a centre foil when we had Sane and Sterling working in tandem, whose collective pace created more space, but now Guardiola has struck upon a system where the typical striker is largely redundant. Can he not do both? Very true.Seeing them side by side and having him as sole striker for a year anyone still think he can replace sergio? A half fit sergio is a world apart
