The sad facts are united was never in debt till 2005 when the glazers took over and put them in debt.
Owners shouldn’t be able to do this and the fact they take dividend payments out of the club is morally wrong.
I understand the united fans frustration and I believe all of us as fans should unite to stop these evil people ruining our football clubs.

You’re kidding nobody pal.

Why is it wrong to take dividends from a plc? You were happy enough to get the huge investment when your club was floated. Dividends are a product of floatation. Unlucky.

TBF, that is a really good, incisive, thoughtful post which even presents facts to back up assertions.
It is and it's refreshing to read. We've heard very little substance so far about what the united fans actually want instead of Glazer ownership. How will it be different? What will it actually deliver that will make them happy ? How will it be achieved? How will it be financed?

Theres going to be violence tomorrow can see it, lost of rag fans on social media saying about what they are going to do tomorrow for a protest.
They’ll turn up pretending to be blues smashing stuff up probably attack the coaches trying to get the game abandoned again. Good job the final Isn’t in London there’d be thousands of the cunts out causing trouble!

All the pundits on Sky said it was just a few mindless idiots. It did not look like a few from the tv pictures. You do not draft in extra numbers from an outside police force dressed in riot gear & with batons raised to quell a few mindless idiots.
Carragher and ratboys description bore no relation to the pictures yesterday. What a couple of cunts

Bullshit. Utd one of the clubs that started and benefited from the commercialisation of football. Ferguson openly said the Glazers gave him free rein on the footballing side. Utd are competing financially but falling short on the pitch and it's that which is causing the frustration. Anything else is a smokescreen. They are nothing more than a bunch of spoilt brats wanting their own way and prepared to resort to violence to get it.

United were nothing before Matt Busby! Busby went to United in 1945, 76 years ago; but the league had been going for 57 years and the FA Cup for 74 years before that, and as you say some clubs were formed 80+ years before that. So for half of football history (plus the 1970s) United have been a non-entity of a club. How the fuck can they be considered the Grandfathers of English football?

As Newton Heath they were getting crowds of 400 at Bank Street and went bust. As Manchester United they won their first ever trophies with City’s players, then went 37 years without winning anything. They were getting average attendances of 11,000, individual attendances of 4,000, couldn’t afford to buy their own kits so used old City kits (Rags), and nearly went bust in the 1930s.

The grandfathers of English football are:
Aston Villa - 6 league titles and 6 FA Cups by 1920.
Sunderland - 6 league titles and an FA Cup by 1936.
Everton - 5 league titles and 2 FA Cups by 1939.
Newcastle - 4 league titles and 3 FA Cups by 1932.
Sheffield Wednesday - 4 league titles and 3 FA Cups by 1935.
Blackburn Rovers - 2 league titles and 6 FA Cups by 1928.
Preston North End - 2 league titles and 2 FA Cups by 1938, first ever Double Winners (1888-89) in a season they went unbeaten in the league (first ever Invincibles) and didn’t concede a goal in the FA Cup.

In the decade United were almost going bust, other clubs were huge in comparison:
Arsenal were winning 5 league titles and 2 FA cups.
Everton were winning 3 league titles and an FA Cup.
City were winning the league title, the FA Cup, playing the first ever “European” fixture (against a German league XI in Germany), were getting regular 60-70,000 attendances as well as the record breaking 84,569 attendance in 1934.
West Brom were getting 64,000+ crowds.
Birmingham were getting 66,000+ crowds.
Huddersfield (after winning 3 consecutive league titles the previous decade) were getting 67,000+ crowds.
Sheffield United were getting 68,000+ crowds.
Newcastle were getting 68,000+ crowds.
Bolton were getting 69,000+ crowds.
Sheffield Wednesday were getting 72,000+ crowds (against City) and winning trophies.
Sunderland were getting 72,000+ crowds and winning trophies.
Charlton were challenging [City] for the league title and getting 75,000+ crowds.
Chelsea were getting 82,000+ crowds.

I’ve named 16 clubs there, and not exhausted the list, who have more legitimacy of calling themselves bigger clubs than United in the first half of football history.

Man United “the Grandfathers of English football”, my arse!
Spot on mate, you’ve went into detail far more and hit the nail on the head, but let’s not have facts getting in the way of lies and bullshit ..

Except we haven’t got ‘evil people’ ruining our football club have we?

Supporters trust now issuing a list of demands (anyone reminded of Monty Pythons Judean People’s Front?)
Interestingly, the letter mentions 16 years of being wank but no specific mention of the £SL...
Perhaps ratboy was wrong after all :)

They want all those left over Brexit unicorns.............they bleat on about a fan based ownership without the first clue as to how they could go about this and ignoring the fact they have owners who are on record saying they won't be selling

Isn't the model that the fans don't actually have shares so they don't need to buy them or be able to afford them, but they have a casting vote to tell the actual owners how to run their business?

And so it starts....just heard a rag stating policing was too heavy handed. Seemed to not be capable of grasping breaking and entry, firing pyrotechnics at people hurling missiles and barriers at people sometimes leads to this....oh and then added having a broken bottle shoved in one of your colleagues faces when they could be at home enjoying a bank holiday weekend with their families .... gave up at this point clearly couldn’t comprehend such logic
