When have the dippers or rags ever done anything in the interest of football??, they may try and describe yesterday’s disgraceful events as some campaign for football as a whole but most fans see it for what it is a pathetic attempt to gain back control. This is just the latest attempt from FFP to ESL to this to gain control

It is normally the FA that dishes out fines for spectator behaviour, however these weren't spectators.

The PL deal with failure to play a league match if it is the clubs fault.

I think it is the HASAW etc Act 1974 which kicked in, and they complied with it resulting in the game being called off.

Rule K14 in the PL Handbook might cover it;

K.14. Each Home Club shall further procure that Players and Match Officials are provided with a safe and secure:

K.14.1. means of access to and egress from the Stadium prior to and after the League Match;​

K.14.2. environment in which to play the League Match; and​

K.14.3. means of access to and egress from the pitch prior to the kick-off of a League Match, at the beginning and end of the half-time interval and upon the conclusion of the League Match​

This will be mildly interesting to see how it plays out. The fans have set their stall out to remove the Glazers - I doubt they’ll be keen to sell which could lead to all sorts of nonsense but if they do decide to sell, who realistically could afford to buy them, really only Americans, Chinese or the Middle East. In that case they’ll probably get their debt cleared and be buying their way back to the top again and no doubt fans, ex players and pundits alike will be happy, but they’ll have to mothball their moral outrage for a while
