Well, after a couple of tough days, I’ve finally managed to slog my way through the whole backlog of posts on this thread.

It was very enjoyable and, at times, entertaining.

They don’t get it do they. So desperate to be relevant. So desperate to win at all costs.

They have happily sold their club, their soul, their History, their traditions for a bit of success. Assuming they don’t mind having their club rebranded (which they don’t appear to), you could argue they have won the lottery, being one of the few clubs in world football who have benefited from billionaire ownership.

What they fail to understand is these people are killing football. The oil barons and small nations buying up football clubs and killing competition is what’s driving the “old school elite” to push for ESLs and redrawing of the rules. FFP proved powerless, individual Football Associations have been powerless. Governments have been idle - and this is the result.

Football as we know it is on the precipice and these clowns are crowing because “they” have just won another League Cup.(so far ;-) )

I wonder how they felt in 2008 about the Glazers?

To be fair Phil the face has given me more laughs than most paid professional comedians over the years. One of his funniest moments was when he was stumbling, fell on the ground and comically tried to head the ball when lay on the ground and failed miserably. It's even funnier the rags have paid him millions for being utterly useless and a figure of fun. Maybe he was their dressing room Mario/Mendy or something

Hasn't played at all this season, hopefully he can get some games next season and earn another extension :)
