Oh my goodness that set me off again! That man is so aware of everything about us. I hold my hands up I doubted him when he didn’t seem to be aware of what the Derby meant to us but boy he’s made up for that now. He always mentions Joe when he talks about the ones who went before.
Come on City. Another 45 + 3. Stay strong
Huge respect to Zinc, when Pep first put his at LB his positioning needs some work but the kid just wanted to play for us and could have accepted going out to Wolves but he stuck with it here and played for his place and I think Pep considers him the better defender as opposed to Cancello now.He was ridiculous. Better than most established LB's. Genuinely if we don't sign a LB, I'll bee happy going into next season with him as first choice.
They’re not understadable mistakes. He’s giving things he clearly hasnt seen but has reacted to the girlie screams from PSG!! Terribly weak refereeing of the worst kind.Fair enough all entitled to our opinion but I can't say I agree with any of that. I mentioned the two handballs, two wrong calls but they are things you can get wrong in a game, they're understandable mistakes, refs can't be perfect and that's what var is there for when it's in the box.
We committed a lot of fouls in fairness, barely any given weren't fouls and as I said previously, he let a lot go for both sides when he would have been entitled to blow up.
The potential extra reds was good game awareness in my eyes. He could have sent them off and then psg get even more wound up and it flairs up resulting in an injury or a red card for retaliation for one of our players. We always say how refs don't understand the game, we'll he knew like the players did the game was over he just had to get through it with as little fuss as possible and felt he did that very well. I think his refereeing made sure we don't have anybody come off the pitch injured or suspended for the final.
Plus if he really did tell herrera to fuck off then I demand he gets Dias' MOtM award.
Beautifully put. And I really enjoyed the final flourish.Wow!
What a performance! From Ederson to Phil, everyone of them was outstanding.
A result built on two brilliant defensive performances, especially tonight. All four defenders were superb. John Stones was formidable in the first half. The blocks he made were of the highest order Kyle Walker is unbeatable in a one-on-one foot race. Olexandr Zinchenco was excellent. His part in the first goal cannot be overstated and his defensive shift was great.
Fernandinho continues to dominated his position. Has there ever been a better player than him to play this rôle? He was simply phenomenal.
The front five caused PSG problems all evening. Riyad will attract the headlines for his goals. Kevin and Phil were outstanding, but Ilkay and Bernardo did a lot of the hard work keeping the Paris defenders busy. Bernardo didn’t stop running all night and Ilkay was a constant thorn in PSG’s side.
I really enjoyed the game tonight. I was relatively relaxed throughout, due to the two away goals, though there were a few hairy moments.
It’s great to reach the Champions League final, but first of all, we have the Premier League to wrap up. Let’s do it on Saturday.
Finally, can I say that Ander Herrera and Angel di Maria are dirty, cheating rag gets?
Thank you for the kind words.Beautifully put. And I really enjoyed the final flourish.
