They’re about to come into ‘season’ get your bow readyWild turkeys are weird looking creatures.
We have a wood pigeon currently. The fattest slowest stupiest creature on the planet. We have a blackbird couple who routinely visit our garden and until very recently nested in next doors garden.
I’ve named the male Reginald and his Mrs is just Mrs R for the time being. I’ve never been into garden birds but working from home looking out of the window for the last 13 months has shown me just how much character these two (and the gormless wood pigeons) have. We have began feeding them and they now make their presence known every morning expecting their morning meal!
Sadly last week our woman of a neighbour put a silver bowl beneath their nest which attracted some magpies, I heard a right commotion to find that their nest was being raided by the bastards, was actually heartbreaking to watch. Nonetheless they have now relocated and are back on the daily grind again with their mischievous character.
Mrs R has a lovely white spot just beneath her beak and bosses Reg around, poor geezer doesn’t get a moments rest.
The wood pigeons are equally hilarious and everyday make a different ploy to get the share of the food we put out, only to shit it and fly off when we make our presence known. I keep finding myself being watched with just a head popping over the bushes waiting for his opportunity, the daft git keeps flying into things when I clock him.
