That's why City are (usually) hard to defend against, unlike other teams that have a focal point up front (at most a couple of options). With City, a goal could come from any one of about 5 or 6 players in open play, and anyone but Ederson from a set-piece.

If we had Haaland or Kane they wouldn't be the same player in our team and I'm not sure either are capable of adapting to the way Pep wants us to play.

maybe pep is already working on a new system because others are catching up and yesterday he played 4 up top
pep maybe was playing the system for the first time and having a look at what could happen with the right players

pep never stands still in finding new ways to send shockwaves to the others.i would not be surprised if he uses a 4.4.2 next season and a long ball ?? but haaland can play with both feet and great on the floor and has speed and power and would fit in nicly at city, kane would be like aguero but with power in the air

sterling never had the strikers instinct but worked hard on his game but still never in a million years is a striker

city have to start to covert more of the chances the great players make in this team ? its criminal the amount we miss and the team has to work harder in picking up results because of it. great world class team kill games off in the first half because of a world class striker

They don’t work as hard as Sterling.
And I mean Sterling as a youngster having goal scoring coached out of him.

World class teams wear you down and score within ninety minutes plus added time.

Pep didn't do anything wrong yesterday. The 9 changes were doing great until 30 seconds before half time. It all changed because a professional forgot to he one.
 
It doesn’t matter what we think, it’s what the broadcasters need the minions to think. Having all those subscriptions to fill costs a lot, them pushing United is just part of a plan and, as a club, we have to accept it to keep our own funds rolling in.

Hate the lot of it but thats where we are.

Pep felt he could afford to take a risk yesterday and he nearly pulled it off. That’s what makes Aguero’s spot kick both infuriating and disappointing. We were sailing very close to the wind and the great man didn’t recognise that instead he endulged his ego and he ended with egg in his face. Personally I felt after trying it on in the fa cup to do so again was both a mistake by Pep and disrespectful to an inform dangerous opponent.

Solskjaer happy to delay City tittle celebrations, hahaha but I thought they don't care about us nd our meaningless trophies? Reckon they can have their own parade to celebrate making us wait a few weeks?

It is now all about ifs and buts, aguero scores game over and no one would be slagging pep off for his team selection. Like you I was gobsmacked he started with one recognised midfielder but had we gone in at half time 2-0 up, as we should have done.......

sterling was never a striker and had to learn how to control his emotions and not panic in front of goal
we still see it today when he misses big importent sitters that are harder to miss ? being a striker is more than just goals he works the defence and pulls defenders out and then finds that little room on the blindside and sniff out goals

i think we have had the best out of sterling and got him to a level that will always make him a good player
but city at a differnat level and need world class not just good

so so funny how they live from week to week (glory hunters) one win makes a summer or one loss makes massacre
its nothing to do with the glazers they have done there job and given the managers the money. infact the most money any managers has had in the premier league

Made me laugh that, they are making the mistake Swales made in the late 70’s and obsessing about their neighbours rather than concentrate on themselves, the result then was we over reached (Steve Daley etc.) and we suffered for decades. Oh please let it happen to them!!
