People in the media will not bring this up now, but it's worth remembering we had 2 days of preseason. We had the shortest break between seasons, and most of that break was stolen by an international break. Today is the first midweek break all season.

I would rather we won it playing ourselves but I suppose United waving a white flag and pissing off Liverpool at the same time comes a close second.

Also gives us plenty of time to prepare for the CL final.
