Ballot then points would be fairer - a big slice of our large points total fans are getting older and quieter. I'd like to see more of our louder and younger fans with less points at cup finals/away games etc.

You could do it like premium bonds - the more you have, the greater chance you have of winning.

My Dad goes to all homes and no aways and has about 12,000.

My mate does all home games - GOLD - no cup schemes - hence only has 6/7,000 points. He's been going since about 67 like me - but he's always had a season ticket.

The previous scheme had tiers of Year 1 - year 4 season tickets then after that you became "regular" and that was the top tier.

When they converted to points your initial points corresponded to where you were previously. "Regulars" got more points than "year 4" etc.

I was a regular and 1500 points for that. As I've said before that is fuck all considering at that point I'd been a season ticket holder for 30 consecutive seasons and done plenty of away games over that period.

The only way they could do that is if they charged you and only made it free if you was on the return would be my guess

Nope, it's true. My mate stopped going to away games in the 90s. When we moved to the Etihad, everyone was on level points - zero. His previous 20-odd years - pre-Etihad, didn't count points-wise.

He would have had 1,540 before a game was played at the new stadium with the 4 home cup games in 2001-2003.

They are on my record.

And I'd say that confirms they've held back tickets as I booked on row 19 earlier and that was the furthest back at that point

I've had a season ticket since 1993 and been on every scheme since it started in 2011. I've only ever been gold and have 10,250 points. 9 years of 300 scheme points is 2,700. I've done a fair few aways and Wembleys too. I reckon just over 7,000 points is believable but not sure about 6,000.

6/7,000 points, Gold - no cup games (or not many). I've used his card for cup final tickets for my sons - had to wait for it to drop to 6/7,000 points to buy those tickets.
