United are screwed. Management doesn't know much about the sport and are concerned mostly about trying to make money. In spite of ditching Woodward - great marketer - hopeless at building a cohesive winning squad - I can't see that United are going to evolve into serious title challengers - save by luck.

Pep who obliterated their greatest ever manager in 2 champions league finals. Wins one more and he’s got more champions leagues than old piss can Fergie . It took him a lot longer than Pep did to get to a final.
 
I see that, amongst a current plethora of documentaries about united, there's a film about the Piss Can about to hit the cinemas. It strikes me that they are mining a rapidly diminishing seam of success. Very soon it will be like the old films of the 1966 world cup win. Mildly interesting in a historic sense but no longer relevant.

Talking of which, Strachan was on Talkshite this morning talking about the film and said that when Ferguson was manager, he actively told the players to hound the referee. He told a "hilarious" anecdote that, when he was at Aberdeen, he told the players off because only 5 of them surrounded the referee and he wanted 6. **** of a manager.

They’ve done it ever since n’all. Must be in United manager’s contracts to have their teams surround the ref.

I was going to post similar last night, funny that on one thread they are going on about how he is nothing special and has just been lucky to manage ready made teams and then add to them with even more talent.
Serious comments being made that he hasn't improved anyone at the club it is just that good players look better playing alongside other good players. Totally belittling everything he has done to date.

And then on another thread they keep going on that we are only at this level because of Pep and how it will all go tits up when he leaves.

Guess they want it both ways,

Some of them don't even have Foden in their England squads, nevermind the first 11. One of them reckons Rashford is better than Foden. Apart from Foden being quicker, smarter, more intelligent, far better technique, a better passer, and so on, the poster might have a point.

Virtually everyone of them thinks Rashford is better than Foden. I mean wtf!!
But then again most of them fuckwits thought Beckham was world class lol
