Harry Kane

I think Kane is only really interested in joining City. No one else can guarantee him what he wants.

With each day that passes the more I feel like he is the perfect fit for us. He's obviously lethal, he can score every kind of goal and he's build up play is unreal.

Haaland just doesn't seem like it's going to happen, I think he'll stay for another season at Dortmund and then go somewhere for on huge wages next year as a host of teams can meet that clause. It's a shame as I think we would be his preference too.

After 4/5 years of Kane, even if injuries get the better of him, it will have given us time to find the next big thing or develop Liam Delap.

Think he may now be number one target for us with his comments..Guess I prefer Haaland, and have concerns about age, the ankles etc..but,if he becomes Blue then I will support him massively like every other member of the squad..takes a good pen too !!

Snidey mouth breathing cockney bastard. Too expensive, too old, too prone to injury, no re-sell value, meaning we'll be in the market again in four years time. Kane fill Aguero's boots! No chance!.

That shit he pulls backing in to players! He's dirty, he's a mercenary coming to City for his own ends, team player my arse.

It's irrational, he'll score goals I know, but no, no and fucking no.

I think Haaland is the more exciting signing but Kane would be the better signing.

We know all about Harry Kane and have done for the past 5/6 seasons. I think at times people underestimate how good he actually is and let their hatred of Spurs and the England national team cloud their judgement.

Haaland on the other hand is the young, exciting project with family links to City. He’s looked excellent in the CL and has scored some worldies in the Bundesliga. Who knows how good he can become?

I do think there are more questions to be asked of Haaland than Kane. Is he going to be able to keep his form up long term? Will his agent be touting him around Europe every three years?

With Kane you get the best striker in the PL for his peak years. This coincides with us having the best manager for that time period as well.

My only worry with this transfer is Roy Keane was on sky sports after Tottenham vs The Rags saying how he had a feeling Kane wanted to play for United. If Tolmie is correct that this Neville interview was weeks ago, maybe the two are correlated.

That comment says more about Keane than it does Kane... Rags are all blinkered and think everyone dreams of playing for them... they live in a self flagellation bubble.

Heard a good point on a podcast: "it's harvest time". Guardiola has already been here a relatively long time, we have a cluster of players at their peak (Gundo, KDB, Mahrez) and most of rest of the football world is in disarray due to Corona.

The club are likely thinking that if we sign Kane we could clean up in the CL for a few seasons, win 2 or 3 in short succession the way Barcelona and Madrid have done this century.

I still doubt Dortmund happy to see Haaland's value from 130-140m to drop to 65m optional fee next summer. I get that they want to keep him especially now as CL place looks ok, and have a strong go with him next year for the title and maybe in CL but that is a 80m loss in transfer fee which now they could reinvest and wont be able next summer.

For me Kane would be ok too if Txiki can do a master negotiation and get him on the cheap meaning some great player+cash deal with giving them players we do not really need (Mendy lol, maybe Ake), or just a much cheaper price than the mentioned 100m figure.

100-110m for Kane, at 28 with some possibility of injury problems, to me that is too high.

But still cannot see Levy agreeing to a lesser amount. If they have to lose him they will try to cash in on him big time.

This could also end up the way of Koulibaly deal, where we pull out someone else from the hat despite all rumours/news setting up the Koullibaly deal.

we will have alternatives for Haaland/Kane too.

This whole Kane interview/public flirting with City maybe a ploy to get Levy's asking price to drop otherwise we walk away.

Maybe Dortmund aren't calling all the shots - maybe Haarland is happy to sit tight and maximise wages and fees next summer - who knows Munich or Madrid may have promised the earth in the summer of 2022 and Dortmund just have to accept the situation.

One thing concerning me is what if we do a sanchez ? pull out of the deal saying the cost is too much. Not this time i hope. the kane situation is like van persie going to united or city after we won our first trophy. Where ever he went would have won the trophy.
Next season where ever kane goes that club wins the EPL.

I read somewhere in inter web so must be true:

Kane - “fucknandes is a special special player, special species . the ball he puts on the plate is a striker dream. I would sarifice my left nut to football god just to play with him”

Reading the DT this morning I think that 'Arry 'Otspur is gonna spend a quarter of a season at the Dippers, the Rags, CFC and us. The only trouble is that we'll end up paying 99% of the Levy loot, and when he reaches us after his Rag sojourn he'll be on crutches.
