Half time summary:

NW highest region but down 226 on day to 494. Up 113 on last week.

Greater Manchester 309 - down 124 of that 226 on yesterday. A bit over par so good.

And Week to Week up 58 of that 113 - which is about par, not over expectations.

Bolton also at 151 had their lowest number in 5 days and only up 6 on last Sunday - the lowest rise in about 2 weeks.

Manchester still high - on 61 - well up week to week - but down a little day to day.

Bury happily its lowest number in a fortnight and first single figure in that time

Wigan third highest today but down well on 22.

Salford and Rochdale up a bit in the high teens.

Tameside despite its Zoe numbers is again low scorer on 4 alongside Stockport on 7.

Greater Manchester Cases

309 cases today - down from 433. Versus 251 last week.

Bolton - DOWN by 69 to 151 and up just 6 week to week - lowest number in past 2 weeks. Pop score rise just today was 'only' 53. Hopeful improvement.

Manchester down by 7 to 61. Up 31 wk to wk - much more than Bolton on last week.

Wigan down 9 on 22 - which is up 5 wk to wk.

Salford up by 7 to 19 which is up 12 on last week. Hopefully a one off.

Rochdale up 3 on 17 - which is up 7 week to week.

Oldham down 12 to 10 - which is up 5 wk to wk.

So there are four boroughs in single figures today after none yesterday:-

Trafford down 11 to 9 - which is down 3 wk to wk.

Bury also down big by 11 on 9. Down 3 wk to wk. Given Zoe's numbers here this is a nice surprise reversing recent trends.

Stockport down by 7 on 7 which is down 3 on last week

And top of the tree again:-

Tameside down by 8 to 4 which is up 1wk to wk.

GM Weekly Pop Data after today:~

Borough / Pop Today / 7 days ago / up or down wk to wk/ Testing is % of local population who have tested positive for Covid over past year.

As ever with Pop going up is bad, going down good - the higher the number the better or worse depending on direction moving. The Pop is total cases in past week versus 100,000 POPulation to even out the comparison versus size and expected cases based on numbers living there.

Bolton 456 / 305 / UP 151 Testing positive 10.1%

Manchester 59 / 47 / UP 12 Testing positive 9.8%

Bury 53 / 36 / UP 17 Testing positive 9.2%

Trafford 46 / 34 / UP 12 Testing positive 7.1 %

Wigan 40 / 37 / UP 3 Testing positive 9.7%

Rochdale 40 / 44 / DOWN 4 Testing positive 8.9%

Salford 31 / 27 / UP 4 Testing positive 9.1%

Oldham 28 / 19 / UP 9 Testing positive 9.9%

Tameside 18 / 33 DOWN 15 Testing positive 8.2

Stockport 14 / 33 / DOWN 19 Testing positive 7.2%

Good news today as Bolton now 397 Pop Score Points ahead of everyone else. Small fall for first time but Bolton dropping and Manchester rising are both why this closed the gap. Bury improved a little today though.

But whilst numbers are on the up in most places at the moment (more testing a factor) this may be good news not bad. We will see based on if the case rises in these other boroughs are being caught early and then can be reigned in.

Stockport and Tameside for now are falling a little clear of the pack as the lowest scorers.

Stockport also still catching Trafford day to day on their recent 200 Pop Score lead across the whole pandemiv. Their recent opposing fortunes has seen Stockport on 7238 close the gap on Trafford at 7121 to just 117.

The % positive of PCR tests certainly seem to be.

As HP has noted, other areas are on the rise unfortunately but there's certainly signs of at least slowing down in Bolton I think.

Because it is an experimental jab it is not a vaccine. When are you going to understand, Covid was invented so you follow the other sheep and have an experimental jab. Turn off your TV and don't listen to the rubbish they spout about infection rates blah blah blah. Covid has been invented so you go and get an experimental jab which will fk your immune system ,.. check ChAd0x 1 re-combinant ., on the boxes of AZ etc. Re- combinant changes your dna,. Eg, you mess around with your pc / laptop hard drive it will eventually go haywire...mess with your dna and expect the same. So that is one of the many reasons that a lot of us will never have this crap put in our bodies.
A bridge is experimental until someone uses it.

You're a nuisance and your understanding of science is derisory.

The BBC drive me potty. This is their headline this morning
  • Health Secretary Matt Hancock says the findings make him "increasingly confident" the government will be able to lift restrictions in England on 21 June
Last night on radio 2, at 6, they has some expert saying social distancing will have to remain beyond June 21st and 'the small freedoms we are currently enjoying could well be taken away'. The reality I assume is that noone really knows. So why dont they just say that,
What are these so called experts going to do when the MSM don't need them anymore?

After a bit of a worry about the mechanics bringing forward my 2nd AZ vaccination I drove Mrs Unicorn down for her 2nd in a Sheffield church last night and they squeezed me in with the last jab of the session. Nice people.

Both all done, and the only after-effects so far is the Lighthouse Family earworm playing in the church I can't quite shift.

Please tell me you’re on the wind up?

This is literally a vaccine. Covid was not invented. You need to turn off your phone and computer so you can’t get on your algorithm trapped mental world on Twitter and YouTube.

This is not an “experimental jab”. Experiments with recombinant vaccines has been going on for years. Gene vaccine therapy is indeed a recently new technique in medicine, but flu vaccines have had tri and quad recombinants since 2013 and 2017 respectively.

The “experiments” are done in trials before they can be approved for use. Like this one:
Once they have passed trials like this, then they can be used with the general public. You cannot get approval for use without successful trials, you literally cannot use real world use as the trial (although, real world use does go towards the efficacy data).

Did you know that our DNA changes all the time anyway, naturally?

First time It’s really felt like we’re at the end now.
It does. Well - in the UK at least. Hopefully the rest of the world gets to where we are now ASAP.
I fully get the concerns about the Indian variant but until I see that translated into considerable increases in hospitalisations, serious illness, and deaths, then I’m not going to worry if the daily cases go up from 2000 to 3000. I would also like to know how many who are currently getting seriously ill or dying have not yet had or have refused the vaccine. Regarding the latter, any tin-foil hat wearing anti-vaxxers who get a bad dose of it will be getting zero sympathy from me.
