What are the odds that it was his last game in a City shirt ? :D

I mean his inclusion in the Kane transfer is real or not...

Showed what he is all about against admittedly a shite Everton defence , he tore them apart in the first half and his movement was 100% better , games like today make you think he isnt far away from being a top striker and then he will have half a dozen average games , still young and has time to gain consistency

Love this kid. Divs on the transfer forum binning him off.
Nobody is binning him off. There is a discussion as to who may leave and he has been mentioned as one of those names. Not because anybody wants rid but because he might want to leave to get more playing time. Especially if we bring another striker in or continue with the false 9.

Crazy talk. Fantastic squad player.

Unless he asks to leave, city won’t sell imo.
I love the guy but I still don't see him ever being 1st choice in any position. This does make me wonder if Pep would consider letting a squad player (albeit an important one) go, if it meant getting someone who walks straight into our starting XI?

Why Jesus? You could say that about 3/4 players. You have to be a special talent to walk into city’s first 11. Kane will do but that is to directly replace kun. Grealish? He will have to earn the right to play.

All guesses at the moment but if we lift the champions league I can see 2/3 big names looking to leave. The squad needs a slight refresh. I just don’t see Jesus going.

When you're including a player in a deal all the stars have to align. On the face of it, Jesus is the one who potentially could check the majority of the boxes:

He isn't 1st choice here.
Spurs would likely want him.
He may be open to a move where he becomes the main man, especially if he sees Kun leave, but another top striker come in.
His current wages are likely in line with Spurs pay structure.

If you look at some of the other potential options, I think there are more barriers in the way.

Sterling/Laporte:

Not 1st choice here.
Spurs would want them.
They wont be interested in going to Spurs.
Wages could be a problem.

Ake/Mendy:

Not 1st choice here.
Spurs may/may not want them.
They may/may not want Spurs.

Wages shouldn't be a problem.

Of course this is just my opinion and I could be miles wide of the mark. I don't want Jesus to go, but if it is the only way to make the Kane deal happen, I would get over it.

Quite a few want to part exchange him in the Harry Kane deal. One on this page in fact (on ignore but just checked)

Watching him in the flesh for the first time in 14 months made me appreciate how good he is. Think he'll stay.

I hope he stays but could see him wishing to leave. Aguero has been out injured most of the season but he still hasn't really got a look in for the important games and lately has been a player more commonly used with more rotation players. If we were to bring in another striker, I could see him wanting out.

I was very pleased that he had the confidence to score that goal. It would have been very easy to have crossed to one of the other players getting into the box.

Performances like yesterday's make me think that he is not far away from nailing down a starting place. He is obviously a confidence player and, if he strings together a few good games, he could really be something.

I guess that we have been saying this for a few years but I think next season could be his big one.
