Champions League Final | Post-Match Thread

Our passing was shocking all night, in so many games we are our own worst enemies in setting up the other teams attacks by a sloppy pass.
But fuck me, can we please get a set piece coach who can teach the players on retaining the ball from throw ins and how to best the first defender at corners.
Not a single player played well tonight

Ludicrous decision to start a hopelessly off form Sterling & change the system. He missed (as expected) his 1 on 1 opportunity in the first 10 minutes and continued his shit run of form.
Chelsea were very good and well done to them.
We were utter pap in the biggest game of the season, nobody turned up...their goal was coming from a move they'd telegraphed about 4 or 5 times before it paid off.
Zinchenko was sleeping for their goal...very poor.
2nd half was a shit show.
Such a disappointing end to a great season and what makes it hard to accept is that it feels like it was our own fault, Pep had to tinker with a winning system and it backfired horribly.
Still, hopefully we will finally buy a striker in the summer and come back stronger.
Got to laugh at some of the usual happy clapper suspects in the pre-match thread, lauding Pep for starting Raz...I could quote some of them but they know who they are...

Gutted, but can’t argue with the result. We were outplayed in every department.

Lost in every round over the years. Done our time now, let’s hope we can win it in the next few years.

All that striving, all that agony and ecstasy to get there and we don't turn up on the night. Utterly dreadful from Pep to everyone that played. It's inconceivable to lose like that but the wrong starting line up, tactics and no player anywhere near their normal form it was inevitable to most from about minute fifteen

Two trophies though but this is going to put a dampner on the summer make no mistake. Big shake up needed especially up front. We need a FAST DM and at least two new forwards.
We need a striker. The basic instinct of players was shown when we crossed across the box a few times tonight. If we arent playing a striker we need to set up to absorb and break. We did neither tonight. Really hope Sterling doesnt get scapegoated tonight though. This was a management and not workforce issue

Can forgive him if he thinks he saw something with that starting lineup. Can’t forgive not changing it at half time, stubborn, arrogant, don’t know what to call it.

Pep talks about playing to our dna, not changing for anyone and sends the exact opposite message to the team with that selection.

I love him and will do again after this fucking anger passes.
