Jesus Christ there are some ridiculous over reactions here. It was a pretty even game, Chelsea were dangerous on the break and we had most of the ball but didn’t create that many clear cut chances. There were a couple of last ditch Chelsea’s tackles that prevented goals and Werner fucked up a couple of sitters. Game could have gone either way really, and if Mahrez connects a little bit less cleanly with that volley we are on our way to extra time.

I remember people here saying the same last year and saying the same when we went out to RM in the semis.

City will be back, we have too much quality not to be.
 
We are hamstrung by wanting to be the attacking, entertaining team every game, good teams defensively know we'll leave ourselves open at some point and sit back, score one and then play on the break for the remainder of the game.
 
I don't think Sterling played bad to be fair. We were obviously the 2nd best team from the start but it wasn't Sterling's fault. I still hope that Grealish replaces Sterling in the summer but fair is fair. He didn't play badly.

We lost the game everywhere on the pitch. I've no idea why and it doesn't matter anymore. The season is done and it was successful - especially when you consider where we were pre Christmas.

Next year will depend on a good summer transfer window. Looking forward to it already.

And if we were to lose to anyone - Chelsea are no worse than anyone else... especially as they didn't win the Cup to give them a double. And more importantly were not Liverpool.

I will proceed to drink my sorrows and hopefully not have too much of a hangover intmornin.
 
Tbf I saw that coming, we have been like that for the last few weeks. Too slow with the ball.no attacking threat tonight at all

A bit disapointed by pep tbh, no tactical real change in the second half.
