Champions League Final | Post-Match Thread

This”fucking manager” I’m absolutely baffled I not blaming it on Sterling but when he plays we are mainly shite time to cash in he’s been poor for 18 months even when he was scoring his overall play was poor

Huge disapointment. One of the most frustrating City games Ive ever seen.
What a game to piss about with the starting lineup, everytime we do that we always finish the match with a team that resembles the one we should have started with, scrambling for a goal. Players out of their usual positions, all over the place to confuse the opposition, when the only people who seemed confused was our own players.
To create absolutely no chances all match is crazy.

Think this is the big thing. Some credit has to go to the opponents but it was the manner of defeat. Just so limp and ultimately lacking in real belief. Can't pin all that on the lineup imo, it wasn't exactly a total overhaul although it's easy with hindsight just to say in a high pressure situation don't add to that by changing what is comfortably your most settled side.
Any loss is disappointing but failing to do themselves justice will eat at the players for a while. What a letdown.
That is the truth.
Pep seemed nervous and edgy when interviewed prior to the match, and this seemed to carry through to the players.

Although I see the anger aimed at pep for the DM call in reality there weren’t any stand out performances from any of the players. Cup finals are one offs and we have had a great season. Hope the players build on this and pep learns too

Never in it. The system didn’t work, so Pep yet again fails at the big moment. Not sure where we go from here. We won the league at a canter, but I doubt that we would have done if Liverpool hadn’t been injury ravaged. The Title win now means little I’m afraid.
