Champions League Final | Post-Match Thread

Utter bollocks - pep had a day just a day not a great one perhaps but ffs he has won the premiership btw and that takes all season so just ponder that for a moment and then maybe u might realize what a monumental achievement that actually was and then ponder , if u can, we lost a cup match ,a one off -go think again - we have the best, the best coach in the world -just remember that when we do win that cup which we will sooner or later
jesus christ stop calling it the Premiership

Sometimes I just wish Pep would think less.

Fernandinho (or Rodri) from start and Sterling has not been starting for a reason so why pick him.

I don't think I've ever seen City be so nullified in a game of football for a long time, this was a tactical problem due to the team selection without a doubt and it's cost us the CL. Fair play to Chelsea they were better on the night but they ain't all that really

I think I have had enough of Pep.

We get to another CL final, what will he do? We all knew CFC would play 3 quick forwards and play counter-attacking football so why did you do that Pep? We needed cover in this game more than any other.
Seriously? Did you have enough of him when we lifted the PL trophy not so long ago. I ain't defending his decisions tonight but fuckin hell he delivered on home shores with a double. We've proved we can get to a final no fuckin problem its what he does then that will matter in the future. I for one hope he learns from this. If he doesn't then I'll happily concede your disgust.

They deserved to win it. They were by far the better team today, better tactically and even the Chelsea fans outdid the City fans

Doesn't feel as bad as the Lyon or Spurs games but Fernandinho should've started tonight

Pep should take a lot of responsibility but I hope the players learn from this for next time

If you read it again you’ll understand. If you really think nobody really cares about losing tonight you cant be a real fan.
No you read it again. Thats not what I said.
Losing is in citys dna and it makes us what we are, and makes us stronger, and its why i'm not particularly arsed about losing tonight. I'll get over it, like I have for the last 50 years.
Of course it hurts, but fuck me, nobody died, no one is shit, no one should be sacked. Its just football.
But you say i'm not a real fan? Ok
If you read it again you’ll understand. If you really think nobody really cares about losing tonight you cant be a real fan.

Fuck off. Best manager in the world. Lost to a very good team. One decent shot in the whole game.

Count the fucking trophies we have won in the morning and give your head a fucking wobble.
Chelsea are NOT a "very good team". They lost to Leicester in their FA Cup final. They have struggled to a top 4 finish.

WE lost today from 'our' own poor performance, not that Chelsea "beat" us.

Tuchel idolizes Pep, he states that himself. He has gone in to chelsea and he has effectively set them up to play against us, no one else but us. He did it in the german league when against Bayern. The signs were there in the league game and the semi-final of the FA cup

It was just unfortunate that we had to play against them in the CL

It has nothing to do with the team selected whatsoever, Chelsea would have played the same way - this is the new threat for next season, just like the dippers did when they started challenging klipperty came in to beat us as the marker

It is down to Pep to change the structure and counter which he will do. We will make big moves in the market to make this happen

Chelsea have a bloody good team, they just under performed when lampard was in charge.

Chelsea will be challenging next season no doubt.

But I wont post on here tonight slagging our bloody manager and players off when the team we were against had our number regardless of what was done - it happens

We will learn and it will make us stronger and better

I don't know why fans are criticising the decision to play Sterling. The problem is not Sterling starting but the decision not to play Rodri or Fernandinho.

Every City fan must have sworn when they heard that side.
Not playing Fernandinho was a huge error. It completely took Gundogan and KDB, two of our most influential players, out of the game.

On the coach with no complaints. We weren't at the races. The ref was clueless but it wasn't his fault we put their keeper under pressure.
Dino instead of Raz and Foden wide would have been my choice.
