Champions League Final | Post-Match Thread

Fucking devastated after that. It’s one thing to play our best team and lose but this is fucking pissing me off so much. Why oh why change a winning formula? Pep effectively changed the entire system today for no fucking reason. Fuck off!!! It’s like me having a method for a year to pick up chicks which has worked perfectly but for some bizarre reason I change it when approaching Jennifer Lawrence and fuck it up. Fucking fuming.

Absolutely spot on. Sad thing is we're beggining to sound exactly like the rags, seem to think we have some god given right to win everything. Not long ago a lot of us would have given our right arm for the title which to me is much harder to win.

At the end of the day we were 3 wins off a historic quadruple and I'm proud of that. Everyone else can go fuck themselves.

He's plays a major role in our team he's patient and keeps possession but Pep decides to throw him in fucking holding midfield, and keeps Fernandinho the best in the business at that on the fucking bench. I'm so angry I cant talk. It's fucking ridiculous.
 
Chelsea started with 5 defenders and 2 Holding Mids. We started with no holding mids!!!!!!!!!!

The game was lost in the first half. You could notice once Ferna was on he restored order but it was too late cause cheslea went to 5 defenders and 3 Holding mids. It was over

Pep once again tinkers with a winning formula. This could have been our only chance in a while to win this damn trophy. I dont see us getting to the final any time soon again.

Sterling starting was a big nistake Jesus would have been better to start. Sterling did not help the defence or attack!!

Very upset we lost and very sad for the boys.
 
All on Pep again, thought more about the opposition than his own team.

Incredibly disrespectful to think he can go into a game like that with no defensive midfielder to speak of.

Chelsea had a game plan to let us play across the width of the pitch but couldn't believe their luck with that midfield press.

I'm not even sad, as we were never in it, thanks to a manager who for some unknown reason, set us up with one arm tied behind our backs.

All just seems like a massive waste of time going this far to perform like that.

The only thing I was upset with was seeing Sergio at the end crying like that.

Players know, they know Pep let them down.

You would think Pep would have figured that out. Chelsea were very impressive defensively and we were unable to find a way through them. The warning signs were there in the FA cup and reinforced in the league game. Didnt our coaching staff learn anything from those games

They had far more goal chances than we did. Mendy and the lack of impact up front with the false 9 was the FA semi main failing. Like against the rags Pep and the players go flaky .

We did not turn up for the said first euro final, that's not acceptable for me and I am sure Khaldoon is not a happy chappy this evening.

I'm not as gutted as I thought I'd be. Not sure why but I feel fairly calm. Maybe all the build up and now it's over it's all a bit of an anti-climax.

I said in the pre-match thread that all I wanted (as well as a win) was for us to play our best 11 and to play our usual game and then we could have no regrets. Sadly we didn't do that and so we'll never know if it could have been different.

The most important to me is the PL and we won that as well as the League Cup, so overall it has been an excellent season but there will always be a little feeling of what if.....

Anyway, I can now relax and enjoy the Euros and look forward to next season. I hope it will be as good as this one but without any 'what ifs' at the end of it.

I’m gutted we lost. I was surprised we started without a DM but could see why. Pep obv hoping we would control things. But too many people did not perform. We were all over the place first half. We could not control the game and Chelsea did at the right time. Super Kev was awful Phil was poor and so was gundog which did not help as these guys run the show. Chelsea deserved it as we did not show up. The reaction towards pep is a bit much. It was 1 player change from wot everyone thot wud play. That does not make us play so poorly. Plus we cud not put two oases together. We were just poor
 
I’ve been a Blue for 49 years, and like my fellow supporters I’ve seen some crap in that time, but tonight’s result was known at 7.01pm.
Pep if you are going to throw a game can we do it in the 1st game/3rd round/group stages etc, stop taking the piss out of the fans with such joke team selections.
Get it right or leave, and take Sterling with you.
I’m not gutted, I’m fuming.
 
Not playing the best defensive mid in world football atm in the starting lineup cost us the game imo - gutted obviously by the result, and by that glaring error, and by the awful hangover that's in the post ., Fuck it!!!
