Champions League Final | Post-Match Thread

Just a question. I turned off at the final whistle. I didn't want to see the vacant, devastated faces, I didn't want to see Chelsea lift the trophy, I didn't want to see close-ups of their delirious fans.
Is it true though that Sergio was just left standing desolately by himself long minutes after the game had ended? Because if so, that is downright disgraceful. These were the last minutes in sky blue of a man whose name will live on as long as MCFC exists. This is Sergio Kun fucking Aguero we're talking about!

I wanna see the people who say this will be City's only chance in a European Final to bet your house on that. There is a reason why we've been one of the favorites the past few season even though we've not even reach the final. I think I saw odds in the QF and we were favorites over multiple CL winners. We'll be favorites next season too. I'm pretty sure the fannies can convince themselves we will not see a CL final again but bookmakers have a lot more sense you know. I do think we'll win it this decade. Whether it is with Pep or not, I don't know. I think will reach another final with Pep. I just hope we win that. God help Pep if he loses another CL final.

Bit of drama from the Bayern fans as Sane's girlfriend posted a video of their TV after fulltime and said it was the worst day of 2021

She was the one that tried to block his Bayern move but in end his mother won the battle after Bayern handed multiple lollipops

Totally agree...and the worrying thing is this will continue....all the big games and he tinkers and we more than often lose....to do it in a CL final is unforgivable.....
You really are a moaner aren't you! Four tournaments, won two, lost eight matches in all and yet in " all the BIG games he tinkers and WE MORE OFTEN THAN NOT LOSE..." Are you serious??!!!

Chelsea players set the tone from the first minute. Their supporters didn’t stop singing for most of the game because of how pumped up their players were. We barely heard anything from the City fans all night, but I think that due to our performance. I didn’t go last night as I was unlucky not get a ticket, but our support was a bit poor last night compared to Chelsea’s.
Disagree with this I listened on the clubs commentary and they said it was the opposite our fans were loud and to back up that they weren't being biased some snidey journalist commented about the City fans being the louder set of fans and then added that was probably because we had practice losing in Europe.

We aren’t at all.

We’ve been getting quieter and quieter as a set of fans away from home for years. Thats also true of Wembley semis and finals where we’ve been heading the same way.

You could see our fans weren’t singing much last night never mind not really hear them. But we were well out-noised by Villa Watford and Brighton in recent trips to Wembley n’all.
It’s because the majority of people who qualify for away tickets qualify for the senior tour.

No one’s as loud or as raucous in their 40s as they were in their 20s.

There’s a whole generation who are missing out on away tickets to serve people who have already had the chance to go to hundreds of aways.

The whole thing needs shaking up, give the kids a chance.

doing the same thing is what was required last night, doing the same thing sent us on a superb winning streak to win the title, not doing the same thing is what fucked us up last night!
Against teams other than Chelsea I totally agree with you.

According to his brother Pep didn't want him at the club

not sure i agree. He came on and we controlled the territory and possession after that. the wingers were back in their natural positions and we pushed them right back into their box
Chelsea were Absalutely comfortable even that last 30 minutes 1 team together & q team with spot on tactics & it wasn't City

Walker was our best player last night the only 1 who can hold his head up the rest were pants

Sterling will get the stick but wasn't the worst player I thought Mahrez & Gundagun were awfull

Not sure what came into Peps head but that 1st 45 minutes was as bad as it gets

Support was poor. Tell that to the faces of those who went

Are you on a wind up?

I just watched the replay again so I can get more pissed. And the goal was all zinch fault. He is casually running behind Kai and even when Kai points where he wants it he never really seems to care and really go after him until it’s too late.
It’s never just one persons fault. It was one pass and a goal. That shouldn’t be on the left back to stop that happening. We have conceded a number of goals recently starting from that right hand side of the pitch. Too easy the goals we concede. Teams don’t have to work hard enough to score them.

I hope this post is a wind up? Have you seen where stones and Walker were? Zinchenko shouldn’t be left this vulnerable with gaping holes between him and Dias.

Agree but you would also expect him to sense the danger especially if a player is pointing where he wants it. Oh well there is always next year I guess
