Not if the end result is the same does the running around really matter?. if he was a midfielder i would be fine with that but he needs to do more.Activity is better than doing than fuck all though, isn’t it?

Both had pretty much the same season. This isn't the Sterling thread.

I agree, but I much prefer watching Jesus run around, than Sterling look uninterested. Both had pretty much the same season.
Fistful of decent games each.
14 goals and a smattering of assists.
No one knows where their best positions are, but it’s not in the starting 11.
The only difference is, Sterling looks like a newborn fawn with a football and the other charges it around like a headless chicken.
You can say alot more....he fought for everything,he pressed them into mistakes,he looked a threat on the ball.Looked interested, about as much as you can say.
Gave me v Real Madrid vibes. Should’ve had longer. You can say alot more....he fought for everything,he pressed them into mistakes,he looked a threat on the ball.
did he? we didnt have a single shot on target? The 20 mins he was on was just as bad as the rest of the match. Running around isn't changing the game.Brilliant cameo, almost changed the game.
Sterling has out scored him this season despite him being out of form. Even torres has out scored him and hes barely played at the end of the day if he is gonna continue as a striker working hard isnt enough.Gabriel was excellent when he came on!
He’s been the best non-automatic starter in the last month, he worked his bollocks off in some recent games (Newcastle away, for example, he had twice as many touches as Torres and contributed more to the game than pretty much anyone else from general play).
To see Sterling start ahead of him, when he’s been utterly average to rubbish for ages, must have been a proper kick in the balls for Gabi!
He looked our only decent player tonight.
Funnily enough we’ve looked great when those two have switched. He looked much better out wide. He is not a number 9. Torres clearly is.
