According to the Telegraph all fans who went to Portugal are being told to self isolate as several flights organised by the clubs have had cases on them on return after the testing they all had to do.

Bolton patients fallen 10 in past 7 days - just 39 in now.

Only 49 net admissions today in England. Lowest in some time.

Total England patients FALL by by 22 to 779 - up 37 on last Thursday.

The hospital data is not going out of control even as outbreaks pop up here and there and replace ones where they are getting under control - such as Blackburn/East Lancs replacing Bolton as worst in UK as happened a few dys ago and the respective hospital numbers are starting to show.

This looks pretty good news for the success of the vaccines over the Delta Variant.

Amongst the arguments of the past 10 pages these numbers have slid by pretty much unnoticed. And to me with my optimistic head on I'd say they look very encouraging !

It’s not all fans. It’s those on the affected flights

That's good. Just worried as my brother and nephew were on one of the Tui flights. Though both have had the two jabs. It just said fans on the flights had been told to self isolate. Glad it is not all of them.

With respect, that's complete and utter horse shit.

Many independent venues have faced closure in recent years but almost never down to a lack of custom. Things like landlords hiking rents to attract more lucrative commercial tenants, business rates going up, and the increasing difficulty for small independent licensed premises to turn a profit are contributing factors.

Nobody is making a penny out of socially-distant gigs. At all. A lot of it - and I had three last weekend of my own - is propped up by CRF grants at the moment.

Two closed near to where I live because of a lack of footfall. A couple of places I used to go in Islington, closed due to a lack of footfall. The Cockpit in Leeds closed for the same reasons. Many more too. Of course, some have closed due to rising rents, licensing issues etc.. I did not say that wasn't the case. So it appears I am not full of it.

We cannot even get venues to set up in our Borough, even with incentives (pre pandemic).

China 700 million vaccine doses given out..hopes to reach heard immunity early 2022 to reopen..

It is but I am starting to question the report.

The actual NHS England data is very different. Just released.

It is the highest in weeks at 115 admissions (this is 2 days old finalised number remember so the above might be today's as yet unofficial number).

It would be high after a Bank Holiday weekend - that 115 is from Tuesday. Up from 88 previous Tuesday.

Moreover the NW input is 31 up from 24 last Tuesday (though that was not after a Bank Holiday).

The other NHS numbers are correct. 779 in hospital.

But ventilators are up again from 116 to 124.

The better news is that NW ventuilators are not causing the rise. They stay at 35,

And NW patients are indeed down 4 day to day to 192 suggesting some truth in the other report as these are data from TODAY not 2 days ago as are the 115 admissions above.

Every other region went UP in ventilators today by 1 or 2 - apart from NW and SW (which stayed at 1)

Several regions fell by small numbers of patients. The most was 13 in the Midlands.

Week to week the NW patients fell from being 30 up yesterday to being just 19 up week to week today.

Yes it does, but to suggest that some guy's entire livelihood being at risk shouldn't be worried about because some Vietnamese farmer survives on $2 a day is pretty shitty tbf.
It isn’t at risk. It’s on hold and won’t be for much longer.

Its been a shitty 15 months for everyone. Some more than others. We’re nearly at the end.

We are never getting out. I’m glad I’m not in tourism as that’s 1m jobs gone. The decisions made today will impact far more more people for a long time than covid.

On a brighter note I’ve set up an agency to cater for “experts” on viruses. I’ll be getting them spots on tv and the press where they’ll earn big money commenting on the narrative of the day. I’m currently full of “experts” who will preach doom. I’m recruiting for someone to sign up positive experts who have good news. You’ll also need to be able to convince the BBC and Sky to use them. It’s a 45k basic and uncapped commission.

What is "net" admissions please ?

Not only is it more transmissible, its more likely to put you in hospital due to it being more severe. (Public health England report just released)

Buckle up.
