It's not bollocks.The scientists have saved hundreds of thousands of lives , they are doing their job not your bollocks suggestions that the love the limelight
You read some of the respected journalists and they are saying the same thing in a lot of reports.
I'm not suggesting or ever have that they are not saving lives.
Merely making a point that some of them don't want to relinquish the limelight.

Red Amber green test here test there isolate don't isolate what a farce .
Its either safe to go so drop all restrictions or its not and ban travel and give people a refund .
Instead we have this calamity where flights not going but hotels open so refusing refunds .
Gov won't it all ways .

It’s killing me as I can’t get back home, I am working in Turkey , the numbers have come down significantly and it was expected it would go to amber, but no fucking change at all. I can’t get work in the UK as this government has shafted the aircraft industry so here I am.Will it fucking kill you to holiday in britain , poor you having to stay here

I have family in France, we travel on the tunnel and drive straight to theirs and can have pretty much minimal contact with anyone but yet would probably have to lie to travel there.

Traffic lights change - thats why they chose that method. They can react to concerns caused by rising infection rates abroad. If the lights can't be changed those going North/South have unrestricted travel forever - East/West however....

Will it "kill me" to have another year not going overseas? No. However, I haven't seen my son or my granddaughter now for almost 2 years....and that sodding hurts.
We do FaceTime, but she doesn't like it, at all.
She is 3 now and doesn't really know her "nana in england

I'm one of those people who tends to "stick to the rules."
Lilly doesn't really know me, and is quite shy (hence not liking any face time).
However, when I do get over to see them both we will have a big party ;-) That's something to look forward to, although yes I know it's nowhere near the same as having built that relationship in her first 3 years.

An absolute farce. Remember “when all over 50s have been vaccinated, people will be able to make their own decisions?” Doesn’t feel like it now. Have the jab, that’s the way out - but apparently not now.
They are indeed making it up as they go along. Variants will indeed come and go for the next 10 or 20 Years. What’s the exit strategy here?
I’ve been supportive of measures all along but I think the government have made so many basic mistakes that they’ve lost me now.

In that case most families can forget holidays again, I can’t imagine the costs for a family of 5Yes.
Vaccination status is currently irrelevant.
And probably always will be because being doubly vaccinated does not mean you aren’t bringing a new variant into the country.

Can understand the frustrations of others, haven't seen my family in 8 months now. I was lucky enough to wing two visits back last year but it's much harder to do now than it was in March 2020 or October 2020.

They don't seem that strict regarding going away and checking up on you, two people I know flew to Amsterdam and ibiza when we wasn't even supposed to be flying at the start of may they jibbed there way into Amsterdam by saying they were visiting a sick relative and got into ibiza no problem from Amsterdam. Even when they returned from ibiza (amber list) to the UK they didn't have a day 2 or 8 even booked test coming back over here, and they didn't take one whilst over here. They did say they got checked up on wether they had taken a test via a phonecall whilst back here they just said yes we have, there response was no problem great, They seem to have gotten away with it anyway.
