Is this a piss-take? I haven't read the original statement but if this is true...well, I'm fucking speechless.
Apparently Glazer said the fans can buy the shares with the same voting rights that the Glazers have, which will give them 10 times the votes of the other shares. But they won't get anywhere near enough to make a difference and the funny thing is they'll be entitled to the same dividends that they're complaining go out of the club now.

So not only will they be putting more money in the Glazers' pockets, they'll also be taking money out of the club. I'm not sure the fans have thought this one through properly.

I often think how many hypocritical twats already have shares in them, taking the Glazers out and other corporates there are a pretty significant % floating around. Can’t imagine for one minute that Rat Boy hasn’t got a fair number and the rest of his classmates

They'll be saving £120m as they'll not be buying him.

Transfer policy was confirmed giving Baille a new contract and throwing a fortune at Carvani. Realistically the 'share issue' will be the only thing they spend and that will be on another couple of Donny Van players who will be worth £80m (until they actually play) but bought for £20m.
I have a feeling that they will get him, i'm expecting them to spend to try and appease their self entitled fans.

Suspect they will spend around £150 million and still fall well short next season.

It amazes me that they seem to thing the "voting shares" will actually mean anything, sure they may get to raise any concerns they have but there is no way the Glazers are actually going to hand over any sort of power to the fans.

In some ways it is a very smart move by the Glazers, issue a load of new shares knowing they have a ready made market of people to jump on the bandwagon all the while driving up the share price of the club.

What I am looking forward to is the fans who buy any shares handing their "dividend" back to the club for them to put towards paying off the debt, or is it ok for them to take a dividend but not the Glazers.

Enjoy it mate :)
In the MEN article, there’s no mention of any detail of the shares, so no idea at the moment. I’m just going off previous share issues from the Glazers. Either way, the Glazers are taking them for mugs yet again & I for one, absolutely love it

We did something similar with non-voting shares back in the Swales day....that worked well too.

Remember when we had a fan on the board, was that back in the days of when Franny Lee was chairman? I seem to remember it achieving not a lot, this move by the Glazers looks like more of the same. It’s fantastic and they won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. Tick tock.

Yep, Dave Wallace.

Rags following our plan from the 80's/90's, what could possibly go wrong.

He will be signing just for the money than.
They dont have a top coach/manager so he isnt going there to improve his game.
They statium is falling down so he isnt going their because of their facilities.

Players going to utd are just going for money or their last big pay cheque.

and that what this was all about for the glazers taking the piss again to get more money out of the fans..

Also gave Mata a new contract.
Slimy Stone on the BBC yesterday banging on about the Rags needing a defender, midfielder, winger and striker yet they give squad players in 3 of these positions new contracts instead of releasing them and freeing up squad spaces and wages.
They've either been snubbed or haven't got the money for the players they supposedly need
Once the penny drops (again), the Norwich scarves will be out again.

Major investment in the stadium then :)

New floodlights are set to be installed at Old Trafford, while there will be painting at the stadium and work in the dressing rooms. Long-term there is a desire for Old Trafford to be seen as setting the standard for stadiums in England once again, with new grounds at other clubs highlighting the shortcomings of the stadium.

Are their fans capable of thinking properly...?

The fans might not have thought this through properly, but the Glazers have.

What about repairing the roof?
