Sounds like your cutting of your nose to spite your face to me pal. I was so frustrated on Monday due to when the system crashed and endless hours on the phone but at the end of it all I'll be watching my beloved blues hopefully in August and for the rest of the season. The club need to sort out the online website though rather than assuming everybody is clued into technology. Also the switch to on line systems means the need for less ticket office staff hence the endless queue on the phone lines. Expect at least a 50% reduction of staff manning the phones this season. Doesn't explain the shoddy customer care though if they introduce a DD and deferral scheme at least you expect s bit of helpful info on line at least!Just how pathetic have our already poor supporter services become! There is no excuse for not providing an online deferral option, other than the real excuse being that they knew the take up would have been enormous. I have been trying constantly now for 3 days and have been cut off twice and have simply given up trying. There's not even an online option to cease being a Seasoncard holder if you pay by direct debit, other than to take your own action of cancelling the direct debit. How utterly ridiculous and a blot on an organisation that claims to be the best at what it does.
Also, Value Gold have always been available online, accept for some strange reason this season! You simply bought blind with a click and weeks later you got told your seat. What a ridiculous parody we have of City trying to sell limited numbers of Value Gold over the same phone lines as other supporters are trying to use the same inoperative system, to tell City you actually have more to sell than you think!
As I've stated, my desire was to defer, but due to this ridiculous lack of online options I had thought fuck it, I'll let it autorenew on direct debit and maybe attend games later in the season. However, after giving it more thought I realised I would not accept such shoddy customer services from any other company I deal with and have therefore used the only power still open to me, I've cancelled my direct debit and Manchester City, or whatever beast it has evolved into, can fuck off.

Many problems have been with the sort codes. Put it in as one continuous number, without spaces or hyphens, and then click on look up. Worked for me anyway.Hi All. Exactly. I design user interfaces as part of my work and appreciate it's not always as easy as it sounds, but they really seem to botch the simple things up at City sometimes.

They wont be able to sell that amount of tickets to Citizen / general sale customers.
And if the likes of me who wants to relocate can not take these seats up lots of empty seats will exist.

Been saying the same elsewhere. We've become what we've dreaded and part of thinks there's people at City reading this thinking "Mission Accomplished" as legacy hangers on finally lose their grip with what was once a special bond.I was delighted to be offered the opportunity to defer having had a major heart attack in January and further serious health issues since then .
I doubt I will be able to attend many matches this season as I convalesce so the option to defer gave me the hope of a full time return the following season.
But having hung on for hours trying to get through to Supporter Services ( got to number 124 in the queue) , I have decided the only choice in the absence of any defer option on the website , is to cancel my Direct Debit so it can’t automatically renew!
What a farce!
Hope whoever gets my seat enjoys the view and the privilege of watching such a special team live.
I will miss the excitement of match days but the unique bond between longstanding City fans and the club has gone.

We've just said to them that the option to defer should have been available online. And I'm not sure that ever occurred to them. The only people ringing up Supporter Services should be complete exceptions where something unforeseen has meant it needs manual intervention. Thanks, that is good news. So, if you relocate you won't be relocating into a seat that has been deferred.And enough people tell me when I post crap so why should @DTKOAG be exempt?
Anyway just come off a meeting with the club and they confirmed that deferred seats ARE guaranteed unless that block, row, group of seats have to be relocated by reason of stadium alterations meaning those seats can't be renewed. That applies whether you renew or defer so in essence, no seat is ever 100% guaranteed to be available to renew, as some already have been through this.

Sorry to hear that but City won’t let you do that , they won’t answer the phoneFailing physical health has sadly caught up with me and have made the decision not to renew as driving is becoming more worrying
@Prestwich_Blue did you also tell them about the fans who are having to hold on the phone for hours on end? I think I read one poster who said 5 hours and most are at least 2 to 2.5 hours. finally sorted after 3hrs on the phone, had to ring in if you wanted the last seasons missing 6 games credited to this years seasons ticket. Why not just apply the credit in the first place? Not like we're going to nah you can keep the £200.Over 5 hrs on phone and nothing. Kept getting call failed after 1 or 2 hrs holding on....a F ing Joke.
I was 92 in a queue then 78 then 52 then 98 then 85! And so on and so on for half an hour rang in my dinner time at work and tried two more times and it’s exactly the same. Fuck it iptv it is for me next season and save myself a fuckin fortune!Tried to call, been in a queue 5 times, been told I'm first in the queue and after waiting around 15 minutes I get Hugh Ferris (I think) saying "goodbye" before hanging up.
