I think that successful refs at PL level must apply whatever culture the head ref decides or they are simply not reffing at that level.
Expect contrived different interpretations for different clubs. VAR simply allows a second bite of the cherry to those that want certain results.
Fairness disappears where money is concerned.

Wonder how long before ITV click that all Mr Walton does is agree with the on field decision. Unless it gets changed by VAR when he will then come up with some waffle.

Today he said the Pole got a 2nd yellow because he had raked down the ankle of his opponent which even Ray Charles could see was complete BS

Definitely. He even argued the toss over that ridiculous penalty United got in the CL against PSG, that none existent handball from a shot going into row Z. Even Ferdinand didn't think it was a penalty.
 
Walton making a big song and dance about EUFA visiting the players and telling them the action of raking down the opponents ankle is a yellow car offense and that's why the Polish player got his second yellow card and his marching orders.

He's probably sounds convincing talking in meetings and gets himself these nice gigs on the back of it but yep useless in reality.

Pretty sure it was the villa home game when Mings and his manager smith still were adamant after the match that it should have been deemed offside. Bernado knew the laws and we scored. My son a City supporting qualified ref said straight away cos mings made an attempt to play the ball that OUR goal was legal and must stand, walton didn't have a clue same as the two villains.
 
They've got him on itv! Why I don't know, I hate anything he's on.

He seems to be the only authorised person who can give "official" explanations of what's VAR doing. He's VAR s mouthpiece, paid to say positive things about it. Waste of time and money and airspace.
 
I still can't believe he's in a job after the evidence our club had on the bent scouse bastard.
