Southgate is the F.A.'s yes man ,a safe pair of hands , we are playing a team of Scottish players who would struggle to get in a Championship team and we play two defensive midfielders who cant pass a ball forwards , lost count of the amount of runs Foden made screaming for the ball in the number ten role and neither of the useless f*ckers have the ability to find him
Watching England only makes me realise how good Pep and City are , cant wait until we meet a decent team like France , Italy , Portugal etc they will take the piss out of us and put us out of our misery , anyone thinking that Southgate can inspire us to win a tournament are deluded.

Thought Hanley was the MOTM. England have a problem with playing Rice and Phillips, personally I'd keep Phillips. That frees a space for Grealish who is desperately needed in midfield. Swap Sterling for Sancho and give Chilwell a bang at LB. Taking Foden off was bizarre, Kane isn't fit, he must be carrying an injury and if that's true then management need criticising for playing him. Rashford too, a Utd fan told me he's been struggling with an ankle problem for two years and a shoulder injury for one, why he got on the pitch I don't know. I do actually but it's not for footballing reasons, Southgate believing the hype around him. England can do better, but time running out for me to have any faith.

A lot there I’d agree with. One thing I’d like to see though is a place found for Bellingham. Streets ahead of Rice and Phillips for me.

hes played 4-2-3-1 and played the best team he can really. it wasnt overly defensive thats just bollocks.

So if we lose to the Czechs and Scotland or Croatia win by two or three goals we're out.

I don't want to sound alarmist, but I actually thought Scotland played well against the Czech Republic and lost due to a great header and a world-class finish, when the goalie was stood too far out. Plus, I also felt they were the better team tonight.

So when I read that possible scenario, I felt a little chill. Mainly because 25 years ago, when England had that one mega-performance (4:1) v Netherlands, was it not the one Holland goal, that put Scotland out?

So us losing to the Czechs would not surprise me (after tonight), and although Scotland beating Croatia 3:0 sounds far-fetched, football is a funny old game and if that score dumped England out, imagine the motivation it would give the Jocks and their fans. Is it in Glasgow?

I'm not going to dispute the fact that it wasn't a great performance. I'm just saying that it's more advantageous to finish second in the group than it is to finish first in the group.

It’s a good call until you realise that we are saying we need to get a lesser team to have any chance.

You’d always take the easier team to get further, just to save energy for the next round. Here though, is us being desperate to get a lesser team.
