He took the most exciting player off, what fuckwit would do that?
A bit unlikely in the middle of the tournament.Time for Southgate to go.
Underdone ? I think he looks like a player with a hell of a lot of miles on the clock and very little tread left on his tires. He looks fucked to me. I agree he's a massive risk for any potential buyer.Do not want Grealish. Won't fit in here
As for Kane, it's not looking good. He looks underdone, but it's starting to look like a bit of risk for us
But we already have 4 points and are pretty certain to be one of the best third place teams at worst.I don't want to sound alarmist, but I actually thought Scotland played well against the Czech Republic and lost due to a great header and a world-class finish, when the goalie was stood too far out. Plus, I also felt they were the better team tonight.
So when I read that possible scenario, I felt a little chill. Mainly because 25 years ago, when England had that one mega-performance (4:1) v Netherlands, was it not the one Holland goal, that put Scotland out?
So us losing to the Czechs would not surprise me (after tonight), and although Scotland beating Croatia 3:0 sounds far-fetched, football is a funny old game and if that score dumped England out, imagine the motivation it would give the Jocks and their fans. Is it in Glasgow?

England play shit. So of course some people’s natural response is to have a dig at the opposition and their fans for daring to enjoy the performance and a result that keeps them alive in the tournament. Standard.
Some short memories considering how we used to celebrate a draw in the derby back in harder times
Totally agree. That was an England performance of 20 years ago. Lots of long punts from Pickford with no creativity in midfield. Pitiful from Southgate. Dinosaur football. May as well get Fat Sam or Pulis in. It was like a Burnley performance. Southgate is a total moron.Au contraire, mon ami.
It's Southgate who's celebrating the "we got a 0-0 at Wembley" Cup.
He's like a rabbit in headlights when it comes to his team playing adventurous football, preferring not to see them lose.
It was like watching the England of old, the same dour tactics seen since the days of Ramsey, with the odd exceptions. Backwards, sideways, backwards, sideways, ad nauseam, passing for passing's sake, and then a hoof forward.
Plus ca change, plus la meme chose.
Are you talking about England or Scotland? ;)Celebrate a draw.
It wasn't that long ago City fans celebrated a draw at the swamp.
That's what you do when you have had nothing to celebrate for years.
I’d celebrate a draw at the Etihad against that lot on current derby form!Celebrate a draw.

Great post. Phil has done great given the roles he was given. Gareth has his favourites, and looking at the midfield 3 and the front 3, there was no-one else he could take off until he finally took Harry off ... had Phil been twins, he'd have taken him off twice in one match! He’s played Foden out of position two games running, and takes him off despite being the best player in the pitch even though he was out of position.
Not for the first time I’m hoping for England to fail in order to hasten the exit of a useless national team manager. He’s played Foden out of position two games running, and takes him off despite being the best player in the pitch even though he was out of position.
A man who was too cowardly to take off Raheem. He took the most exciting player off, what fuckwit would do that?
Sterling was awful tonightA man who was too cowardly to take off Raheem.
Scotland were the better team. As Souness said it was a controlled performance, nothing to do with passion. If you had any sort of striker you could have won 3-0. It was a tactical victory for Steve Clarke...though Southgate made it easier for him.Well said mate. I've got zero ill grudges with the England team and always wish Foden, Stones, Sterling, Walker to do well but fuck some blues seem to have completely forgotten our roots.
We were supposed to be out tonight, embarrassed, humiliated. That we more than held our own and now have a fighting chance come Tuesday night I'll absolutely take.
Pre tournament I had us or the Czechs as the weak links in the group. I thought we deserved to beat the Czechs and by all accounts they were better than Croatia today so you never know.
Foden wont start the next game, he should but he won'twhowill he change for the next game, can see only Sancho and Grealish for the City pair up top and poss slabhead /henderson getting gametime, but little tactical change
As he has been all season.Sterling was awful tonight
