i don't think the everton fans would take any tom dick or harry unless its rooney
he's the only one that would not get to much stick. not many big name managers are rushing to everton

Why would the Everton board appoint someone with such a poor managerial record as shrek as the new boss?

There must be plenty of candidates with a better track record than that fat, ugly, thick, granny-shagging Scouse wanker.

If I were them, I wouldn’t touch him with a three-metre barge-pole.

sometimes the chairman thinks by giving a local boy a chance then the fans will be off his back
 
I can’t see Everton being so bloody stupid as to give him the manager’s job.

The owners will be fully aware of the sentimental aspects of appointing him, but their over-riding concern will be with ensuring the club is a profitable enterprise, and Shrek is borderline cretinous - I really believe so.
His tenure at Derby has proved that he is both tactically inept and too stupid to be able to address his own shortcomings. He reminds me of Bryan Robson when he was at Middlesbrough, basically an imbecile who was given the job because of his name, nothing more.
All Derby have done is appoint a famous name from the past as the manager: they have THE Wayne Rooney as their manager, they do not have a competent human being with a footballing brain as their manager.
