Calling @shackattack...... If you feel like letting off steam,go right ahead.

I just don't get it if true. What is it based on, the fact he achieved success at Liverpool as he hardly did the same at Newcastle decades later.
And what does it say about his status that he ended up in China managing Dalian Professional??
I have no issue with him being their ex manager if he was still a decent manager but it's debatable to say the least if that's the case currently.

I know that the fact he managed their horrible neighbours will upset a lot of Evertonians, I think he is a very good appointment.

He has a very good track record, wherever he has been, and considering the restrictions placed on him at St. James's Park, he did a great job with the Barcodes.

I’m sure he will soon win over any doubters, especially if he can repeat Carlo's trick, and win at Klanfield.

Not been on here for a while due to a few issues. All is fine mind.

Apart from Rafa. My team is turning into a joke.

I will continue to support and put up with them, but Rafa can go and jump in the river.

Win the first half dozen games by a shedload, do the Dippers at Anfield, top four by Christmas and there will be some who will still rail against him! It's results that will determine EVERYTHING. I must say I never really warmed to Sparky - the 'baggage' is always a major consideration!

Similar to when Hughes rocked up at ours obviously a big part of the fan base will never accept him.

The only City manager I've seen where I passed him on the forecourt and didn't speak to him....that showed the fucker. ;)

I wouldn’t be happy. He’s up against it from day zero.

Been searching for a quote that's in Lawrence of Arabia (a film I know very, very well, so I should be able to locate the scene, by rights. I think it's after they take Aqaba) — someone says to Lawrence*, “amongst Arabs, the man who gives victory is revered like no other”. Or words to that effect. It seems perfectly apposite to Rafa's position. If he gives them victory, they'll forgive him anything. He could have been a lifelong Koppite. That's the way it works with football fans. If he fails, he'll be thrown to the dogs to be ripped to pieces.
Perhaps among all football managers and all clubs, the only absolute no-no is Pep to Real (a no-no on both sides, need it be said). Even then, that would be interesting… the hostility would be tasty.

*It's come back to me. It's Prince Faisal (played by Alec Guinness) who say it to the American reporter, Jackson Bentley. I'm pretty sure it's in the first scene after the intermission. Not that anyone gives a toss! But I told you I knew that film obsessively well ;-)

I do not want Rafa anywhere near our club.

But the idiots who put this outside his house need to get a life. The guy has a family and does not deserve this. No need and very shameful for the club. Can these idiots kindly do one and support another team.
