Most world class strikers go through quiet patches, it happens. but you don't lose faith because you know they have the ability to turn it on at any time.

Out of interest- practically everyone I know, and all I hear in pubs when we play is ‘how sh*t Sterling is’ and he’s blatantly the scapegoat when England don’t play well.

Do you not give Southgate credit for sticking with him especially with so much attacking talent at his disposal and Sterling so far proving everyone wrong ?

I'd put my hands up and say well done. It would have to be something special to celebrate it like Foden doing a Sergio on the final.

In other ways I'm ambivalent. If Engerland won it the press would expect the World Cup next and winning them both again rather than enjoy the moment. There's also other issues that would come with winning it as well.
