IF we do actually sign Messi, I hope it doesn’t mean we think that‘ll be enough and we won’t try and get Kane, Grealish or Haaland as well. We still need an out and out striker and a younger midfielder with some energy. Messi is a fairly short term fix given his age.

Given how stacked our squad is already, I don't see how you bring in Kane & Grealish AND Messi.

They are not BtW.

They are saying Barcelona are comfortable/optimistic/positive that Messi will continue. Which is what Barcelona are saying.

If you can't see Barcelona being wrong, or diplomatic, then that counts too, but slightly different.

In fairness to dan, he has backed up his claims with twitter claims by those who often comment on these things. How reliable, not for me to judge, but certainky regulars.
