That's the vote of confidence needed I agree , when was the last time they were relegated?Good appointment, he'll keep them up next season.
Funny if an ex Liverpool manager was in charge if they do.

I don't think they do relegation, do they? It's going to be damn boring for the poor fans next season, that's for sure. That's the vote of confidence needed I agree , when was the last time they were relegated?

As long as they take 6 points off Liverpool and he sticks it to them in doing so all is well.I don't think they do relegation, do they? It's going to be damn boring for the poor fans next season, that's for sure.
Am hoping I can raise a glass to him leaving in caseys in October!!!Under Benitez they will play 11 behind the ball and not dare to cross the half way line against anybody half decent. A grim season ahead for Evertonians, if he lasts that long. A bad start and the fans could chase him off by Christmas
everton fans on here
come on let be having you
i think he'l be ok for you not a massive profile manager now and also not an unknown, he's an upgrade to Ole down the road and certainly one of the top 8 managers now in the prem, if you can put away the Liverpool connections i think you might get a pleasant surprise once he settles inI think Ancelotti apart( and even he had his doubters), from Moyes onwards every appointment as manager has divided our fanbase. So Benitez even with his liverpool connections is not unique in that. Some will never forgive him that, personally I don't care if I thought he could do a good job. My concerns are he is nearing the end of a successful career rather than beginning one.
Watch out for the full kit wankers in red on Cardiac Hill…Am hoping I can raise a glass to him leaving in caseys in October!!!
I would have thought the thinking would be that he was hailed a messiah at Newcastle, and elephant man Bruce hated and wanted sacked, yet Bruce had a better record........your actually getting someone who in his last job was worse than Steve Bruce!!Personally I would take him as the shortlist was hardly inspiring and unless Conte went for it he is the best options.
Our fans are fuming about it generally. As someone said it's like mancini going to united after all he did for you.
Was he the manager at Newcastle when Shelvey shot from the kick off and then they all dropped back 20 yards?Feel sorry for the fans.
No ambition from him against the top teams.Everton will be turned into Newcastle.
We all know fans are fickle to say the least but I can't see him doing anything that would get most of our fans behind him. Would have sooner have seen a younger manager who wanted to make a stamp on the game and try some new ideas. But it is what it is and you support the team whatever.
Good call. Really rate the Spanish Waiter.
