Regarding the penalty!
I don’t think Raheem dived.
I don’t think there was contact enough from either defender on its own to take him down but combined had him off balance.
A slight collision from the second guy had him hit the ground.

Maybe he didn’t need much encouragement, but when I saw it at real speed I thought the first defenders contact was a brushing of legs that meant the second contact had him unbalanced.

Looking through VAR in slow-mo it’s debatable whether there was contact by the first defender but I’ve seen these given all year.

The game should have been stopped for two balls on the pitch anyway so VAR wouldn’t have come into it.

Regardless, England deserved the win in my opinion.
I think you have the squad to win it overall but it can be frustrating at times seeing how conservative Southgate can be.
Let’s see if he changes it a bit against Italy because he would be playing a dangerous game against them putting that non midfield out.

I don’t think you can afford to hand them control.

As a neutral though I would have more interest in You vThem than the Danes.

What did you make of Rice's performance tonight? And how does it compare to his season at West ham? Despite the win I thought Southgate was a coward taking Grealish off. Bringing Trippier on was okay but we lost control and midfield when Grealish went off.

Best game for Sterling, finishing aside he was direct and ran them ragged. Wish he approached each game like that. Walker was class too, Foden didn’t put a foot wrong.

I think Raheem does approach every game like that.

It's just that he doesn’t perform like that in every game, though not deliberately.
