He was clipped by one defender off balance and the contact with the hip. Shouldn't have been a pen for me but it wasn't a dive. I thought the Kane one could have been given by today's standards though, put his leg right across leaving Kane nowhere to go but over it.

What did you make of how they were given two free kicks where only one foul was made, for their goal?

England were more than good for that win, when you weigh up the full 120mins.

not heard anything else over the lazer beam in Kaspers face as Kane was taking the penalty,that must have been someone from behind the goal at the other end of the pitch

Bringing Neymar into the conversation and defending him renders you're claim that Sterling is a "textbook diver" absolutely, hypocritically stupid. Neymar is a real diver. Sterling goes down with minimal contact which is borderline. Neymar jumps over with 0 contact and rolls over 5 or 6 times screaming and then brandishing an imaginary card.

it was knee to knee contact,if you watch in slow motion Sterlings right foot trails over the defenders foot with no contact,the ball is going into a non recoverable position and at the same time the defenders knee impacts with sterlings knee,IMO sterling was going down without the knee contact 'looking for a pen' and the ref has given it due to the knee contact, nothing to do with hip,have a look see what you think

First of all, I brought up one single incident from Neymar, and I never called Sterling a textbook diver, I said this particular pen was diving. This may come as a surprise to you, but it’s what the entire world is saying. You may think it was all fair, but that’s not the global consensus.
I have been a critic of Neymar since he played for Santos here in Brazil. He loved rolling on the floor and faking. Since the 2018 World Cup, he has improved immensely and even his biggest critics have recognized this. Not saying he is perfect now, but he is nowhere near the worst anymore. And maybe a sign of this is that people’s target is now Richarlison (and I would agree with that criticism), no longer Neymar
