I personally think we will sign Kane towards the back end of the window for around £115/20m

However, I would be happy to sign a makeshift forward and go into the season with what we have, I think the market could collapse next summer and we would be in a very financially healthy position to take our picks. Remember we were only 3 wins from winning 4 trophies last season.

The market has already collapsed we are just in an era of denial. We should wait...specifically for haaland who's idea of waiting and getting more money may well backfire.

I’m not sure on Kane. I thought he looked poor in the euros & most Spurs fans think he’s past his best. I just don’t rate him as £100 mil player never mind £160 mil

Yes I would like him & he would probably score a bag full but I think he’s only got 2 years in him then we are left with a player injured or on the bench being paid a fortune. I just think use a couple of kids & go all in for Haaland next season.

Biggest issue for me is I think pep will be gone in 2 years & he wants champs league so Kane fits his plan better but where does that leave city after pep.

Granted. But all that does is push up the price. Look at Kane, as an example. Didn't he sign a 6 (?) year contract only last summer, or the one before that? If a player wants to leave badly enough, and his club gets a ridiculous offer for him, he'll be gone. Like the darkness at dawn.

Exactly, you suggested if Kane and Haaland were the same cost and both available it would be daft to go for Kane. There would be no sensible reason to do that. So the logical conclusion if we are going for Kane is the deals aren't the same or even close to being the same, or Haaland isn't available this summer( in my opinion the more likely).
If we go for Kane over Haaland then it will be for very good reasons, whatever they may be.

Pep wants the Champs league ……..So do all the players and Kane ( and me ! ).

so go for it now - potential is not going to help us in next 2 seasons. We need players who can make the difference from September onwards
