Haaland is coming of the back of a brilliant 18 months at Dortmund. However, I think players needs to show at least two consistent seasons at a high level before being considered top class. I remember Sancho having a brilliant first season before his form dropped.

The big question is would Haaland accept a bonus heavy salary? He’s in a position where if he waits a year, every top club in Europe will throw insane figures at him. If a club signs him this season, he will be up there with the biggest earners.

Okay, let's disregard all rumors for the sake of. The best striker in the league would be a short term fix? 28 is old? Come on. Up there with the wildest claims here.

Signing a player for 4-5 years is not a short term fix

I would be reluctant to go into the new season without a striker and I’m sure I’m not the only one. Lewandowski, at 32, would be a relatively short term signing whilst Ings would be unlikely to command mega wages or a vast transfer and might be happy to share the cf position if a big name were to come in at some point. Ideally, we would sign Haaland and Mbappe tomorrow but that seems beyond unlikely unfortunately. I have been watching football for a few years now and have noticed that generational talents seem to come along every couple of years (not at the Messi level obviously). Again, only an opinion as a KFA long term supporter.

None, but Jesus is not good enough to be our main striker and never will be.

His goal return is poor and he had is chance to replace Kun last season, instead Pep favoured playing a system with no striker. That says it all for me.

He’s still a good player, who I think is better suited to a wider forward role.

To all the Grealish haters in this thread.
He is the close thing we can get to David silva , he will play the David silva role that we’ve missed . Someone who can retain the ball and get us out of sticky situations with his close control and play that slide pass to get the winger in behind the full back.

reason raz dropped off a cliff was because he had no one to play that pass to get him beyond the full back.

bernie can’t play that pass. He just runs about a lot and dribbles in circles.

jack is a serious up grade.

also people who say Grealish plays for fouls is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.
He gets the shit kicked out of him because no one can get the ball off him.
