Have to agree. The constant cycle of "it's on" immediately followed by "City won't go anywhere near Spurs' asking price" is so boring. And it's at least twice a week now. The reporters who say City won't match the asking price are usually the reliable ones with no need to make things up and the ones who say it's happening are usually from tabloids and know they'll get clicks.

Probably have. But for journalists to admit that doesn't benefit them in any way.

They all agree that City won't go over £100m and they all agree that Spurs won't go anywhere near as low as £100m. I think pretty much all City fans believe both to be true... so what's going to change in the next month?

Depend what you choose to read or believe really. You’d have thought reports of a different striker would be surfacing if we wasn’t going for Kane anymore

Who is there? It's him, Lukaku or Haaland. Anyone else and we might as well just stick with what we've got. They're the only three who'd start for us.

Everyone thought Barcelona's financial problems would force them to sell Messi too and instead Barca basically drove themselves deeper into ruin just to keep him. Think we'll see the same story here, Spurs would probably rather sell Lo Celso, Ndombele, Lloris AND Lucas if it means keeping Kane.
