Since being appointed Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has spent £385mill on player transfers.

If United sign Varane for a fee in the region of £40mill, it will take Solskjaer's transfer spending to over £400mill.

Not a bad return on trophies won during his managerial career.(at United)

Varane close to signing for them.

Sure, they might have already spent a lot of money on a large number of world class players for little return ever since Ferguson left, but Sancho and Varane will definitely make all the difference.

Prediction: United start the season with a "new attacking style" and end up 9th in November because Solskjaer can't coach a high line and doesn't know how to coach a team to keep the ball and be dangerous with it, so they revert to type and end up finishing about 4th.

United remind me a bit of our progress in the darker days. You feel you need that one or two signings and then in other positions another problem appears as soon as you fix that. Issues for them assuming they get a decent CB, are left back - Shaw won't stay fit for a season as he's still a fat sod and Telles hasn't had impact they were hoping. No decent fit CB cover. Wan Bissaka seems to be declining and goalkeeper is a BIG problem when the rivals have Ederson, Allison, and Mendy in form of their life.
Also defensive mid - McTominy Fred and Van De Beek aren't pulling up trees either.

Attacking wise they'll score enough but at the back expect them to ship too many.

Sniff?

They will spend another shit load of dough to finish potless again.
As night follows day.

We will still have the odd blue fearing them and telling us we need to be careful of them but they'll be proved wrong once again then we can start the merry dance all over again this time next year.

Wank Bissaka doesn't have much of a starting position from which to decline. He's absolute garbage. Incapable of staying on his feet.

Listening to talkshite last nigh and Tim Vickery was on complaining about the blatant manipulation of VAR in the South American version of the champions League.

He gave examples of VAR delaying games by over 7 minutes whilst officials tried to find ways of disallowing opposition goals against Brazilian sides.

I hope Mr Reilly and his fall guy this season; The Bolton fan/Rag Lee Mason aren't looking at their model for next season.

The rags are being artificially kept at the top of the table. We all know their true league position under the paperboy should be.

The fixtures have dropped nicely for them to be able to get a potential PiGMOL assisted decent lead at the top at the detriment of us and the chavs. Who I think are the potential real title chasers this season.

Desperate to win the league aren't they! How much money have they chucked at it since they last won it?
I also wonder how much debt they have to be in before FFP or the Premier League say enough?
Corrupt to the core and I suppose the Norwich scarves will be quietly put back in the drawer now

I'm not going to criticize them for spending, but the hypocrisy from the media when they do always makes me laugh.

Good for them for getting their business done quickly. I don't rate Varane that highly, but on paper Sancho + Varane make them a stronger side.

Not sure it's enough, and they're still a bunch of cunts who I hope get relegated to the Conference.

Who could this be? One of the best central defenders in Europe?
Linked with utd?

Hmm it's a tricky one! If they do sign him he'll be in the same team as one of the best central midfielders in Europe, the best young British right back in England, the next best English superstar Centre forward and one of the most sought after Strikers in Europe.

Fuckin unbelievable.

Not really it's from slysports what do you expect?

I don’t really rate Varane. Every time I tune in to watch either France or Madrid, he seems a bit of a weak link. I find it strange that Madrid are willing to let him leave seeing as Ramos has gone to. Sancho is a big improvement to what they’ve got, but I still think they’re several players short, plus a decent manager.
