As @gordondaviesmoustache (I think) said recently, that’s such a wank sobriquet. Obviously I had to Google what it meant first (sobriquet that is, not wank).
It's an excellent sobriquet and suits her perfectly. Simple, effective, concise and applicable.
Not often I disagree with the Venerable Bede of this Parish, but can't see his problem nor understand his crusade on this apparently vexing issue.

I don‘t know a lot about it but he seems to have done a lot of good for poorer kidS regarding free school meals and some of his tie ups with brands stipulate payments to some of the good causes he supports...

Of course the criticism will come if he’s picked up a lot more sponsorship as a result of his profile being raised by his philanthropy.
It was very skilful PR because it is impossible to even find the Spectator allegations online. All the mainstream media have gone with Rashford's response without actually checking what the allegations are. They did the same with the "racist graffiti" story which GMP have still not confirmed was "racist" unless someone on here knows better.
I am usually someone who defends Rashford because I think he has done a lot for Manchester and I believe that his motives are genuine. But it would be nice to hear both sides of the story.

Hey bobbyoq

I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiment but does any outlet publish a balanced, thoughtful, football (even tenuously) related piece with an overriding editorial view these days?

Not saying what Rashford has achieved ref feeding kids is a bad thing, but I get the feeling this all started from a Rag's/Ashton PR exercise to elevate the profile of the player. And I have to say it's been a very successful PR campaign because whatever tax scam he may be involved in doesn't seem to be too prominent in the headlines today.

I like the way he says he reads the spectator from time to time.....of course you do St Marcus.....
I wonder if the Spectator will pick up on his tax free loans from his own off shore business?
