Our beloved leader is in discussion to send the errant ones out onto our streets dressed in yellow bib and tucker to make atonement for their dreadful sins to humanity. Hoozah hoozah!.

We used to have a similar system back in the day with borstals where the bad machines worked outdoors in penance for their misdemeanor, cleaning up graffiti and keeping our streets clean of detritus.

Boris said offenders guilty of anti-social behaviour should be in “fluorescent-jacketed chain gangs” publicly paying for their crimes and he has called this controversial tactic “a kind and a loving thing to do”. I say Amen Brother as we cant lock them up anymore as our prisons are busting to the rafters with wastrels of every descriptor.

He said and I quote “If you are guilty of antisocial behaviour and you are sentenced to unpaid work, as many people are, I don’t see any reason why you shouldn’t be out there in one of those chain gangs visibly paying your debt to society"

For nobody other than people who like the idea of seeing folk serving out penance in a bright yellow jacket for all to see them. Unfortunately the real world means that these people want exactly that. They feel the need to be seen and thats why they create anti social havoc because they cant fit in otherwise and their only kudos in life is to be a ****. Advertising cunts is not the way forward. I think they create anti- social havoc because they know full well that there's no deterrent to deter.
Incarceration's the only answer and the time for honoring themselves must surely be at an end. Lock em down and free society of these feral miscreants that plague our streets.

Hit them in the pocket if their working put an attachment of earnings in their wage.
if their on benefits then stop the payments.
Other than that build a 600 cell breeze block prison with a concrete bed and one blanket
One very basic meal a day .
This may seem very harsh but in-light of what’s gone on in the last few days maybe not . It’d save the tax payer a lot of money of what could be directed into more needy people than pissing about with a scrote in the judicial system.
The country needs a very big wake up call and a quick one at that.

Hard Labour. Prison should by like military. Up at 7 for a run around the block. Then some good hard work for the day. Make them hate it so much they never want to go back. But educate them too.
Young lads get to like prison as they have a sense of belonging and comradeship there.
 
Cant believe people are falling for this shit. It seems like there is a weekly trolling announcement by the home office via patel or Boris and all the fucking mouth-breathers instantly wum themselves into forgetting what they were outraged about last week, and certainly being distracted from what is actually going on. It's a typical tory policy nowadays of appealing to the populist vote without any thought for the future regarding their decisions.

The tories that shrank the budget for youth intervention that helped keep vulnerable kids away from a life of crime are now reacting to the shortcomings of that policy with Victorian methods of correction.

I detest criminals as much as everyone else, but where, if this policy passes through parliament, is the rehabilitation of those young offenders coming from?

Dressing offenders up in orange suits will undoubtedly appeal to the 'flog them' brigade as they watch them pick up the litter many of those that decry them will have dropped, but if it isn't a method of correction that changes them, then it's just another headline grabbing waste of time like the 'short, sharp, shock' bullshit from the 80's.

And its by adopting policies exactly the opposite of this (other than the educating them bit which will never happen whilst the prisons are being run by G4S and Serco) that has allowed the Norwegian Government to close prisons.

Didn't the Tories tell us that crime levels were at an all time low and that is why they could cut police and prison warder numbers.

So what is, if crime has increased then it is their fault for cutting police numbers and if Jails are too easy it is their fault for cutting prison warders.

They cant have it both ways.

Yeah, it’s another gimmick. A day of feel good headlines and people getting moist with their prison fantasies of harsh conditions and a bowl of gruel every day.

Even the police are calling out Johnson’s latest proposals as ‘weird’.
