Neither us or United sold out that game. There were lots of empty rows in both ends from memory.
My only Wembley charity shield visit.

None of the Wembley ones were sold out but we sold out when we played Chelsea at Villa Park in 2012 (moved from Wembley due to the Olympics). Chelsea didn't sell out their allocation for that one despite it being a smaller allocation of tickets for both sides - 16k-17k ish - than you get for Wembley Community Shield games.

Just to add to the joy loads of engineering works going on around the Euston area at the moment and especially at the weekend, meaning longer journeys and reduced services. Trains going through Stafford and Nuneaton are being diverted via the west Midlands.
