Tough isn’t it. Do you go for a guy who you put so much in for last year who turned you down and try sign the prems best striker or do you bite the bullet again for Messi. Once bitten and all that.

I’d love Messi, how many years we reckon we will get from him? If we got him instead of Kane we’d need something else lined up in a year or two or stick to Kane for a guaranteed 4 years or so. Exciting non the less
 
City will be in the mix. You don’t say no because he turned us down before.

City have always wanted Messi.

Seems obvious as there've been rumours and he is a better fit at this moment, as mad as that may sound.

We are signing Grealish already who we hear may play at no. 8.

We need a clear no. 9 and Kane fits better and adds other attributes we are missing, can benefit from, or provides similar level of quality:

Finishing, pens, vision/passing, can operate from deep, heading, strength, PL experience, leadership, fluent in English, in prime years, teamwork, nice guy with covert dark arts mastery.
