IF and it’s a big IF we went in for Messi i would imagine CFG would be a very handy vehicle for his salary, two years at City on £200k per week, then a shed load at NYCFC hidden in offshore accounts. Similar to what some have speculated Wolves have been doing with their player salaries.

Sounds a bit too similar to how Rangers came unstuck to me! Best to be honest and stay within our means, even if that means Messi goes elsewhere.
