Been watching his goals last season he’s one hell of a finisher. Don’t think some people realise how good he is

There is a big Brasileiro, South American, Latin footballer community in and around London. They all hang out together regardless of their clubs. He will like it.

And Jesus is a Brazilian footballer. So if the money is right. He'll go.

Whether Spurs want him is another matter entirely.

Fwiw I think Harry and his bro were stupid to sign a deal without a release clause. It’s not like Levy doesn’t have a reputation or anything. If there was a proper release clause at least the decision to stay or go would be Harry Kane’s. So on that score I have no sympathy for the guy.

City made a bid. It’s not enough for Levy. Harry expected him to accept the bid. It’s a stalemate. I‘m sure Kane will be professional (eventually). But I doubt he’ll be skipping off into the distance holding hands with Levy. If you think that’s a recipe for success, then all power to you and Spurs. Enjoy your season.

I think if they had of put a release clause in his contract, it would have probably been set at about £150m

I keep seeing this line of reasoning but it simply doesn't add up.

Levy has been making player sales a nightmare for buying clubs for the past 15 years. Yet Spurs still routinely buy players with the potential to be future stars.

What players look for in a new club is, in no particular order: salary; a step up from their old club; the new club's manager; their chances of getting in the team; the team's chances of competing in the CL; the team's chances of winning silverware; the team's style of play; where the club is based; how much the new club makes them feel wanted and appreciated.....etc.

The possibility of that club driving a hard bargain in 3-4 years, when the player wants to leave, will rarely figure highly among the list of considerations. Especially if that club can point to previous players such as Carrick, Berbatov, Modric, Bale and Walker - all of whose new clubs were subject to such hard bargaining but all of whom got their moves regardless and went on to have highly successful, silverware laden careers.

How knows. There's also other factors in there as well in order for him to want to move to Tottenham.

His normal response is "He's a Tottenham player and I don't speak about other players that play for other clubs". I think there's a good chance of this getting done.

I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree. Apart from Walker most of those players were either denied a move or made to wait. For each player you mentioned there’s a Rose or Alderweireld who wasted what should have been their best years at Tottenham.

Do you truly believe if Spurs offered Bellingham the exact same terms and playing time as Dortmund he'd have joined Tottenham?

That statement means absolutely fuck all. Bernardo is at the top club in this country, Kane isn't and wasn't when he signed it. He only becomes an idiot if he wants to leave and didn't put a release clause in it. Having said that if he really wanted to do one I'm sure we wouldn't stand in his way.
 
As delighted as I am with Grealish, if we can't afford to sign Kane and end up £50-£60m short I will be left scratching my head at this situation.
