Seasoncard - 2021/22

Could you not just buy a pay as you go sim?
You can get them for £1 these days.

You can get them for free but have to top up £5 or £10.
Be careful as some have a minimum top up period and minimum usage period.(just make one call/text(?) within the period.

It originally said you can transfer to friends and fam if you can’t go but FAQs currently say it has to be cardholder at the moment and also can’t transfer from wallet to wallet.

I have 2 phones, can I transfer it to both (so I can lend 2nd phone to a mate when I can’t go) or can it only be on 1 device at a time?

I would expect/hope that you can just go into your account and download to another (compatible of course) phone whenever you want. Otherwise none of us would be able to upgrade our mobiles during the season. Each time you download it, the older downloads on other phones will become defunct as it will have a new embedded 'key' and quite probably will disappear off the old phone (maybe not immediately).

I meant to mention also, has anyone else seen the show code button in GPay and presumably Apply Wallet. This looks like a scan-able QR code (or something similar). If you watch it, the blocks change every so often.

Has anyone else not had an email yet?
Neither myself or my son have received one. Our tickets are showing in our accounts and we can see the "download ticket" and "relocate" options but the text for both of them are in a grey colour as if they aren't active.
Spent 45 minutes on hold to Supporter Services this morning.

The lad who I spoke to was very pleasant but did absolutely nothing of any use.
He seemed surprised that I hadn't received an email but said that it shouldn't matter as I can just log into my account and save the ticket to my wallet. I explained that I'd already done that and it wasn't working.

He then checked my email address was correct. I received confirmation of my Spurs tickets within 5 minutes of buying them so that must be ok.

My son hasn't had his email either but we've both received our Metrolink tickets in the post so they haven't completely forgotten about us.

Then he asked how far from the Etihad I lived and told me that I'd need to book onto a session and go to the ground to be shown how to download the ticket!!! I'd love to have the spare time to be able to do that.

I'm pretty tech savvy and have been using Google pay on my phone for a while so not sure what they would tell me to do.

He said not to worry, just keep trying to download and if the worst comes to the worst I would be able to pick up a ticket at the ground on the day of the Norwich game. What could possibly go wrong?

Im on with them now and they're saying it cant be set up over the phone, what the fuck is going on here??
Sorted it no problem with me

Must be whoever you get from ticket office

Just got a reply from city to email I sent last Friday saying you can’t do friends and family yet

They haven’t a clue

Luckily both mine and lads now sorted

Has anyone had an answer for the "I don't have an Android/Apple device and I don't have a printer that I can use?"

I know it seems like I am being difficult, but it's a fact.

EDIT
I don’t have a smart phone or access to a printer…

If your Friends and Family cannot help and you do not have access to a printer, you can collect a printed ticket from the North Stand Ticket Office at the Etihad Stadium from seven (7) days prior to each matchday (excluding weekends and bank holidays), up to and including matchday itself. You only need to request this once. If you choose to collect your match ticket(s) from the Etihad Stadium, tickets for the first home game of the season vs. Norwich City (3pm KO) will be available from Monday 16th August, 9am. Please note: photo ID will be required for ticket collection in the first instance. If that is not possible, alternative ID methods will be accepted (e.g. utility bill) and additional security checks will be carried out at the point of collection. This also applies if you are collecting on behalf of another supporter.

A bit of info, even when we all get the tickets sorted yesterday Liverpool using the same electronic system as us had a big issue with their electronic readers not working with the e tickets and their friendly was delayed by 45 minutes !! Suggest we arrive early for the Norwich game as I predict chaos!

Just having second thoughts on this. With GPay I have read you can't have two mobiles with the same GPay account at the same time which makes sense, but transferring the account can also be done by recovering the account so re-downloading might not be needed. Whether repeated recoveries or downloads will trigger any checks I don't know. I think I would just create a new supporter account and Gmail address if necessary and link it via friends and family and then transfer the games when we know how to do that.

Apparently I needed to speak to Supporter Services, which were the options id chosen on the bastard phone before waiting for over an hour to speak to someone, she told me she couldnt do anything as my daughter already had an online account set up which was news to me as ive never set one up, I need to email Supporter Services as they arent taking phone calls at the minute to solve this issue.

I told her it was a shambles which she said she'll mention to her supervisor, said im happy to wait on the phone whilst she did so as id already been there over an hour, pretty sure she forgot to put me on hold and never actually moved from her desk as I could hear her tapping away. She returned 10 minutes later saying she'd spoken to 3 of her supervisors and they all said the same thing, email is the only way to sort my problem, not 100% sure my reply of 'you could do with getting them 3 lazy bastards to answer the phone' went down too well.

I was assured my email would be replied to before the Norwich game kicks off which is very fucking noble of them!!

Shambles

I had a similar problem a couple of weeks ago. Daughter had a junior blues membership from early 2000s so obviously never had her email address on it as she was a toddler.
I had a couple of frustrating phone calls but also sent an email to mancity@mancity.com with her junior supporter number and her email address. I got a standard acknowledgement that they'd received the email and would act on it within 5 days.
Nothing since then but they have done what was asked as my daughter can now log into her account using that email address (after a password reset). It took about a week for them to do it.

You can just register and get a supporters number. Go onto City’s website and make sure you are logged out. Press log in, but instead of logging in, press ‘register’. Then complete the form. Don’t know about the others. But the blurb does say mobile tickets are the only ones transferable. Whether that means paper tickets are checked, I don’t know.
I was interested in this as I have a season ticket with my dad, who is getting on and can't make every game.

Previously if he wasn't going I could just ring up and upgrade the ticket from over 65 to full adult (it was briefly possible to do this online, but that didn't last long).

I contacted supporter services on Twitter and asked them the following:

Under the mobile ticket system, what happens if I want someone to use my ticket for a particular game and they are not a Citizen member?

Hi Ian, The person you are forwarding the ticket on to needs to meet the criteria in place for the actual game. For example, if you want to forward over Everton, Liverpool or Man Utd they need to be a Cityzen Matchday member and have attended three previous PL games. If it is for a game that is on general sale, and doesn't have a sales criteria attached, you can just add the person to your friends and family and you can forward it over. Hope this helps!

This is an automated response as when I emphasised the point about them not being a Matchday member, they just sent the same response.

It does seem that you can register and get a supporter number without paying for membership though using the process above.
