the commercial revenue is about to explode for PSG. wonder what Omar and Soriano thinking of that.
I think if he ever signs for New York City they would sell more shirt in 1 months after he joins that they sold since we created that club few years ago. probably thats not saying much lol.
share of image rights deals, sponsors offering to pay more, new sponsors popping up, merchandise, shirt sales etc.

PSG just paid his wages for the first 2 months of his contract inside 20 minutes. Now all the sponsorship deals will flood in, watch their online social media engagement go through the roof and watch the sea of money pour in.

Pays for himself and he happens to be the best player on the planet too. There's no doubt the City hierchy will be gutted watching PSG present him after 10 years of planning for this.

I don't see how teams cope with that front 3 other than starving them of the ball which about 3 teams are even remotely capable of doing. When it was Mbappe and Neymar it was easier to target them, go tight on Neymar to deny him any room and cover the gaps where mbappe likes to operate, di Maria, icardi or kean were all good players in their own right but you'd almost leave that side open to force them to play on the right and keep the ball away from those 2. You can't do that now when you've got Messi on the opposite side, they've not only added Messi, they've got a neymar and Mbappe with more space. Frightening.

I hope they get drawn with a big side in the champions league group games, want to see as many big match ups as possible from a neutral perspective.

This will have boiled piss all over Europe.

Rich upstarts PSG snaffling the best player on the planet half an hour after he leaves behind 21 years at Barcelona. Literally no one else appeared to be in the picture.

Huge statement regarding pecking order and financial clout.

PSG have now got one seriously ridiculous front 4 and imo that makes them favourites for the CL.

Messi has made the right decision in relation to his desire to retire with the best "numbers" and cement himself as the GOAT.

He will absolutely arsehole the French league and I mean arsehole it. The premier league would've been a much harder challenge but let's be honest who wants to be fucking about with that at his age?

Those crocodile tears soon disappeared when that 25m check went into his account the greedy little midget.

Will be interesting to see how it works, the midfield will have a hell of a job to do running around whilst Messi and Neymar stroll around off the ball

Mbappe leaves next year and they will replace him with ronaldo on a free from juve.

I am convinced it will happen.

I have two colleagues/friends who are PSG fans and they're less than ecstatic about this, I'm surprised.

One of them said PSG is becoming a "museum" and the other that it's a "circus".

I said I like visiting museums and circuses so they should just enjoy it for what it is.

I think they've been burned by Neymar. His league stats there are a disgrace.

Can't say I have any respect for Messi. He's rich beyond words yet he's willing to uproot his wife and kids to a different country, against their wishes, apparently they were in tears, just so he can continue to play. Greedy maybe, self-centred git definitely.

Very true but they need a decent manager now.

But would have been alright to come here I bet

I know what you're saying but if he'd come here in similar circumstances I'd have felt the same. Obviously footballers' families have to accept upheaval like others who have to move for career progression in their families' best interests. I've moved my family abroad so I know that. The difference is that this guy doesn't have to do it but chooses to do so for his own selfish reasons.

Pays for himself??

Translation : A delusional queue in front of the #PSG to buy Messi's first jerseys

Pochetino is a lot better manager than you give him credit for, and I know he won nowt in the PL. Only a matter pf time before he's deemed successful though; )
He's alright I agree with you there but I don't think he's got what it takes to get to the next level with PSG.
Having said that their team picks itself and I'm sure they don't need teamtalks and tactics.
Give it Messi or Give it Neymar or Give it Mbappe.
Ouch.
Having said that sometimes a dreamteam front three don't always hit it off.
We had a lethal front line of Barry Conlon, Lee Bradbury and Craig Russell but they just didn't click when it mattered.
