Rag home tickets were being touted on living social last week, even though everyone knows you "can't get a ticket"Neither have they.

I've never got why a fan would sign up to a rival's forum and pretend to support that club - it just shows how insecure they are about their own club IMO.United fan in peace
Out of interest why would you waste your time signing up to caf just to fake being fan to post that you’ll think we’ll finish between 5th -7th.
Just front up and join as a city fan to debate impartiality about your feelings about us rags.
For the record only 32% have voted so far for United to finish top, of which I wasn’t one. The caf In general is full of realist full time Utd members who recognise city rightfully have the strongest squad in the prem and depending how big Rom does Chelsea along with the dippers and us can hopefully challenge you properly.
Best of luck for this season
Actually I think you will be stronger this season but I can't see you winning major trophies with a sub-standard goalkeeper like De Gea. I think he is totally over-rated and destabilises the entire defence.United fan in peace

You're right - I don't spend much time on there anymore but Red Cafe is a good forum in the main with plenty of decent, knowledgeable posters. Obviously, there are still some bellends you get on there like you do on every forum. My all time fave was a poster called "namco". He was that obsessed with City that he never ever posted about United, and his blatant wumming eventually got himself banned - even the mods got pissed off with him. Over the next few months he reincarnated himself several times but you could spot who he was a mile off so he never lasted long before getting banned. He eventually changed his MO to such an extent that he came back as a City fan but lacked the intelligence to ever post anything remotely positive about us. Needless to say we sussed him early doors and lo and behold, he copped another ban!
Yep sounds about right.I've never got why a fan would sign up to a rival's forum and pretend to support that club - it just shows how insecure they are about their own club IMO.

I also think you need to get rid of Pogba. He will never succeed in the PL because of his poor workrate. He did well in the Italian pub league playing for a team which win it every year, mostly by playing "walking football."
Yep...But please remember Ole inherited this from Jose as his first 11.Spent half billion last four years with the grand total of fcuk all trophies!
Pep took over a team which finished fourth, level on points with you lot, with the likes of Mangala getting games and with four 30-something full backs all with a year left on their contracts and so impossible to shiftYep...But please remember Ole inherited this from Jose as his first 11.

He's literally had to buy a whole new first team, try to get rid of the deadwood not mentioned in this 11 some of which we still have.
Whether city fans wants to admit it Ole's has improved the squad an infinite amount, he's improved our first 11, improved the club atmosphere and the thing united fans love the most is the amount of minutes academy lads have got. There's plenty of stats showing how he's gave more minutes to academy players than any other manager since he's been here.
Since he's been at the club only Pep and Klopp have collected more points.
He's came close to winning a couple of trophies and we all know how small the margins can be between success and failure.
It's obvious he's not as good a manager as Pep of Klopp and may never be but he doesn't just manage on Vibes. You don't come 3rd, then 2nd on vibes, you don't beat City three times in one season on Vibes and who knows if he's the right man to bring proper glory back to OT but he's taking us into the right direction and if he gets sacked or even quits the squad will be in a much better potion for the next manager to come in and take over.
Pep's spent a billion, one billion and he took over a title winning team I believe or at least a strong squad. Yet you have no champions league. It's true
Ole's built a strong squad and we are improving but deny it all you want if that's your thing.
Kante is the best defensive midfielder in the world and anyone would look good alongside him. My objection to Pogba is the amount of times he literally walks round the field with his hands on his hips. I know he divides United fans but my neighbour (a season-ticket holder since the 70s at Old Trafford) thinks Pogba is a fraud and he watches him every week.I think so too in terms of being stronger, Varane and Sancho improve two spots that needed fixing no doubt.
City fans on this thread making out Varane is average because of his games against yourselves are kidding themselves. Look at his accomplishments for club and country. He's in his peak and Madrid cashed in knowing he would leave next summer for a new challenge. The fact he's hungry to try a new challenge shows his level of motivation which is exciting as unlike di maria, Varane wanted this united move. Whether he will be a success and adapt to the prem we'll have to wait and see as nothing is guaranteed.
Regarding De Gea it's a tricky one for Ole. The defence with Dean behind them looked solid overall and Dean is so vocal as we heard without fans. Throughout the matches you can here him constantly communicating with the defence and as anyone who's played football knows this is goes along way to performing better as defensive unit. If Dean hadn't picked up covid he would have continued this season as our no1 and deserved the chance after last season. He's far more commanding than Spanish Dave which improves the performance of the defence as a whole. Despite not being a better shot stopper.
De Gea is on 350k pw therefore we can't just get rid and it wasn't that long ago he was regularly picking up our POTS award along with Premiership keeper of the season and then his form fell off a cliff. Many united fans like myself perhaps and probably through rose tinted glasses hope he can rediscover this form as he was amazing for so many years it's hard to accept we wont see this form again. Blind faith you could say.
Regarding Pogba again it's a tricky one. On his day and on quite a few occasions last season he was unplayable but there's been no consistency since he joined and then there's Raiola. I'd slightly disagree with the work rate criticism as I think he's running style creates the impression he's not trying at times but statistically for distance covered last season in 90 mins he did ok. The main issue is that us along with France struggle to define what his position should be. France have to have Kante next to him to make up for his defensive positioning and because he will take risks with his passing as we saw against Switzerland therefore he can be criticised for giving the ball away to easy in the wrong positions. I've got no issue with players taking a risks in the right area of the pitch but we've seen him get caught dwindling in position on the halfway line and before you know it we are on the back foot.
If we played a 4-3-3 then we could probably accommodate him more but in a 4-2-3-1 he's not as good as Bruno at being a 10, not disciplined enough to constantly play part of a midfield 2 unless he has a freak like Kante with him therefore I can see him getting minutes left of the front 3 like last season whilst Rashford is out and against weak teams Ole will play him as part of a 2 man pivot in centre midfield.
Very talented player but he just doesn't fit into Ole's plans and I think both parties know this.
Players, coaches and ex teammates never moan about him or criticise his effort of commitment to the team therefore I do think he gets a hard time by the press like Raheem.
If he came out and did what Kane has done he'd get lynched by the English press.
We've definitely strengthened but cannot match City's depth plus you probably have the best manager in the league.
when is Pep leaving :)

Yeah, but we've been good before that, you were always shit ;-) (jk). You were shit before the sheikh….;)

I am not sure about Varane. La Liga is a joke these days. I am not sure he will cope in the PL but time will tell. I am a fan of Maguire though.
What about all theSpent half billion last four years with the grand total of fcuk all trophies!
WTF.
The Sheikh has got you rattled...You were shit before the sheikh….;)
WTF.
I admire the defence of Ole and certain points can be agreed with. Anyone after Jose would have got the squad playing, just off not being a bell end. I think he’s a good man manager, tactically inept though. I don’t think you can pick derby games as a measure. Sven done the double over you, we beat you a couple of times with Keegan and even Pearce. I’d never say they was close to Ferguson, the underdog always has a spring in their step as we did in them years. Pep gets no credit as he has spent money, Ole has spent a bucket full of cash since coming in, he had to as you pointed out the players were crap before but improvement is inevitable. Playing academy players is great if they’re good enough, it’s not something to celebrate of them academy players are bang average. United have bought well this summer and if he doesn’t mount a serious title challenge considering what he’s spent then he’s most definitely failed. Again. I get why United fans would like him, he’s likeable to be fair but he is nowhere near a top class manager. He got the job through links to the club and when he inevitably leaves the top clubs won’t be fighting for him. It says a lot when you are happy he’s signed a new contract and every other teams fans are happy too. Time will tell next year but surely it’s a make or break season.Fair enough. Ole took over a team that were sitting in 7th I think.
I know the feeling of being unable to shift deadwood.
