Harry Kane

He's supposedly been really unhappy about situations like this at his previous clubs and won't tolerate answering 100 questions about Harry Kane every 3 days for the next month.

He'll be pushing to get the deal done ASAP and start sorting out replacements.

Let's not, pounds in their hundreds or thousands isn't the same as pounds in the millions.

Lets say your friend has £1 and needs another £1 for their train fair, chances are someone will give it to them.

If you have £1m and want to buy a house for £2m, like your friend you are 50% short of what you need, yet you are a million miles away from what you require but your friend will close that 50% relatively easily. The 2 percentages are the same but the difference is balck and white. £30m out on £150m is not close.
No you're moving the goalposts here again. You're using examples without taking into account revenue. Yes, some average person might give a quid for a train ticket if they earn £31k a year but are unlikely to give £1m to someone. But somebody who has £500bn might well give £1m to someone for a house. In fact the thing that I've just described is called a bank and lots of them exist.

Do you sit reading the Financial Times and say "Phillip Morris taking over Vectura for £1bn? Ludicrous". No you don't because you understand that Phillip Morris doesn't earn £31k a year so talking about them in the idea of whether they've give someone a quid at a train station is stupid.

We already had this conversation. We used the average UK wage to break down the exact difference in personal to City's revenue to create a like for like scenario. £7500 for a £9300 price for an average person is the EXACT same as £120m to £150m price for Man City. City earn £500m a year.

Would you say the Moon is close? Probably not if you're comparing it to the corner shop. Probably would if you're comparing it to Alpha Centuri. You're trying to compare these figures to somebody else's revenue but City doesn't have somebody else's revenue, they have City's revenue.
